The people are very friendly and helpful iv been trying to get a place ever since I arrived in mobile. The VA couldn't do anything to help me and I called a number of places and people. But housing first has definitely gotten my hopes up and giving me a reason to wake up but it has taken a lot longer than I had hoped to get a definite answer to the question "am I going to be living in my truck much longer? I'm broke and have no gas and everything theyting way to real that I might not have any thing to eat or drink in a week. But I will my faith in God that I will have a roof over my soon thank you case workers at housing fit because of you I have been able to keep my head up and look for a light at the end of the tunnel.

They believe vague excuses substitute actual work. They are not interested in helping the homeless- even the handicap homeless- find a place to live. They cash those donation checks and ride around. I know this because they were sent MULTIPLE references to assist a family with an autistic child. They lied and were found to be lying consistently. Absolutely shameful organization masquerading as do-gooders.Their use of funds should be investigated.

This place is a waste of a resource. They don't actually help the homless they just use it to keep tabs on where the homless are at.they don't have the funding to get you into housing.you stay on a waiting list and the places they send you to set you up for failure. These people profit from keeping you in poverty .don't fund places like this they are part of the problem not a solution.

Nothing but good experiences with Housing First, my case worker went above and beyond for me and my family. They have Helped me get off the streets, out of the shelter, and soon into a place of my own.
