I stayed here once and I got COVID-19. The place is not kept clean. They don't wash the floors. They don't wash the handles. These people are homeless. Committed off the streets and they're filthy. They're not requiring showers before they get in the beds. There's bed bugs. It's horrible up there.

Hospitality House while having good intentions does an extreme Injustice to the name hospitality yes they do provide services to homeless and low income individuals but those services are a mere shadow of what was available to our community 20 years ago any kind of homeless assistance and service help in Nevada county is now almost non-existent and it is a shame homeless people are people just like regular people they deserve help they deserve accommodation they deserve the opportunity to bring themselves out of their situation to get back on their feet without a county has fallen extremely short of that line I am appalled to say that that's the community I grew up in

For a place that is supposed to help the homeless they judge them harshly, they hold the bed and the services over the homeless peoples heads. Why does the staff care about who the people date. They need to stop taking donations and then donating them to Goodwill for the tax write off. It’s supposed to be free but they charge your insurance company for the bed that’s not free to me. They need to step back and take a good look at them selves.

Been experiencing a bit of homelessness lately, we have appreciated their generosity with meal donations, socks and blankets when we needed them and even some dog food. Never was able to grab a bed due to the Vid though. Friendly people who didn't shame us.

With as many people as there are, in such close quarters, there can be drama, but it is a place to sleep, good food, and generally nice people. Some of the rules seem overly strict, especially when we aren't told the purpose, but I'm grateful to be here and glad Hospitality House exists.
