Special place for all people. Counseling, food, household items n more. Some items are brand new others slightly worn. Shoes for all, work boots at times. It’s worth your time to visit. Volunteer if you can. Very rewarding! Medical equipment, furniture. pictures, items for inside your house n yourself, as well as outside items.

Welcome to Hope Helps. Upon gathering intel for this review, I noticed a few problems. First off EVERYTHING. Second off EVEN MORE some how. Let's get into what this place is because the name is about as vague as it gets.

This place accepts donations from denizens of Kingsport Tennessee in the act of giving free hand outs to those in desperate need of Food, Water, Clothes, or other supplies.

Sometimes they host a giant Yard sale on Saturdays where people can sell their goods in hopes to make money.

They provide some things for free (But nothing you REALLY need like food and water), only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM to 2:30 PM. However after reading the updated hours, now it's only 10 AM - 2:30 PM on Thursday only.

They keep the really good stuff inside. All the food, water, clothes and supplies one would need to get by. Of which they willing give out. The Problem is, you need an APPOINTMENT to take items. And there's a limit to how MANY items you can take. If memory serves and don't quote me on this, I think it was 10 items. If you want to make an appointment, you're gonna be waiting for like a MONTH. AND they are ONLY OPEN on THURSDAY! So basically, you only can get donations on ONE DAY of the 7 day week with a very long waiting list to get supplies you need like NOW. By the time you actually are able to go in to get items, it will be too late to be helpful, and not enough to be helpful.

You could do volunteer work. For ever one hour you work, you basically are granted $1 you can use to buy one of their items. My husband did this volunteer work and it was less effective than calling Corporate on a Bad Business. Meanwhile we're financial struggling cause given how high the cost of living is these days, we can barely afford our Rent. Not to mention at that point we were both unemployed.

Side note, there's literally a homeless woman and her dog living in their car next to the store with permission to live there. I legit mistook it for loitering and alert the Police about it before I realized, or her and her dogs are legally permitted to live there.

This place is a joke. A waste of your time. It's like someone dangling a carrot over your head which is just far enough out of your reach to get. If you're so big on helping those in need, why be so darn restrictive that it's no longer being helpful. It's just being an annoyance. Given your donations you legitimately have everything you need to help those who can't afford basic things like Food and Water. You're literally sheltering a homeless woman outside your store basically by allowing her to stay, and yet you have this many restrictions.

Hope Helps? Yeah right. More like I Hope you have another plan to get help, cause you ain't finding it here.

What a great organization. I inherited a lot of clothing & other supplies like unopened self care & cleaning products. I know she would appreciate where I took her belongings because they directly help people.

I would like to tell you about my experience with this place. It is absolutely amazing the compassion and caring they have for people. They helped us so much. We had a family member suddenly became bedridden. In need of a hospital bed we called and the man asked when do you need it. We made arrangements to pick it up the next day. When we arrived the next mornimg the gentleman Mike already had a list of things she might need. Let me tell you they gave her everything we needed and more. This place is an absolute God send. Insurance wouldnt pay for the hospital bed is why we called in the first place. So if you are in need of anything or even to just talk they will help you in any way that is possible for them. We thank sweet Jesus for all their help.

This was the first time I ever was able to visit this place and I am so thankful for God sending me here when I did. There were a few guys that was helping around there but mostly woman and I tell you what this group of people are the most graciously kind hearted people I have had the pleasure of meeting in quite some time they went over and beyond out of their way to help me. The sweetest lady and I'm so sorry I am really bad with names and can't seem to remember hers but she prayed with me and helped me in so many ways and I want to thank each and every one of them

Hope helps is an awesome food pantry and donation center that everyone should frequent. They are warm and inviting and go above and beyond to help anyone in need. I volunteer there when I can, and it gives me a good feeling of giving back to the community. Connie Johnson is as genuine as they come. If you are in need stop by, they will help. If you have something to donate, I promise 100% of your donation will go towards helping people in need. If you have available time and want to do something for the community, this is the place to volunteer.

Hope helps TN is a wonderful nonprofit organization! They help so many ppl an families. All workers are volunteers an most are older an have some health issues so be patient it may take them a min but they will and are doing their very best to HELP! Connie the "boss lady" is truly an amazing person with a big heart that truly wants to help anyone! 5 🌟 for sure an amazing group of loving people!

Super good people that are eager to help! We needed a knee scooter for my wife and they loaned us one at no charge. All they asked was that we returned it after she was done with it!
