Going to them for help for utilities is a joke. It's like they throw everyone in a hat and draw a name and are like ok they deserve help to pay their bill you can throw the rest away. At least that's the way it seemed to me. I was told my file goes before a board and they decide if I can get the measly amount of money they give you or if someone else was in more need. Now don't get me wrong I needed what ever I could get but being a single mom what would take precedence over me. Or any single mom with young children. I don't see how any one person could be more important over another for that matter. It should have been on a first come first serve basis until funds were depleted. So if you want to feel like less then worthy then you can apply.
