This place is an incredible resource for Neuro divergent individuals and their families. There should be more places like this. Volunteering was a beyond rewarding experience. Nonprofits like these rely on the kindness and generosity of others to operate, so I can't wait to spend time with the villagers again.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Don't volunteer here. I volunteered at High Point Village, and was given no training or any information on the kids I'd be working with. I was just thrown in on my first day, with no regard what so ever. I wasn't given any instructions what so ever. The directors were rude and unhelpful. The parents of the kids were rude as well. When I raised my concerns with the directors, I was dismissed. This is by far the worst agency I've ever volunteered with. I was disrespected by the directors and the parents of the kids enrolled. Volunteer with other agencies that will actually value your time and treat you with respect. I wish I had never given High Point Village a chance.

UPDATE: I didn't volunteer over the past few months, and I am certainly not wasting any more of my time by contacting your organization for a forced apology. This wasn't a one time mistake, I was mistreated for a period of 2 weeks before I finally had enough and left. I obviously wasn't taken seriously when these incidents occurred, and suddenly I am a priority after I posted this review? This is not an incident that an insincere apology can fix. This review will not be removed. Hopefully this review will ensure that no more volunteers are disrespected by your organization. Of all the places I've volunteered in Lubbock, this was by far the biggest waste of time.

The staff here is always a pleasure to interact with. I have only ever been here in a working capacity but everyone (staff and people enjoying the facility) seems very happy and cheerful.

High Point Village is a great program that serves people with IDD. I met Caleb who teaches at High Point. He is a great teacher with true compassion for those with IDD. His classroom is focused on with Autism or on the Autism Spectrum. My whole career was working with and supporting people with IDD. I’ve seen some of the worst Day Programs serving the IDD population and I can truly say High Point Village is doing it right!

Over priced, teaches same classes year after year and they never move forward.
Atmosphere was very unfortunate to the point they made my child cry.
You can send you child to many different places in Lubbock that teach, work with Lubbock community.
