I love the staff here!!! We discuss books together and bounce titles off each other. My daughter started getting more into mysteries and they gave me PLENTY of recommendations for her to try!

If you don’t see a title on the shelf you can have it borrowed from another library within the network! They have made it super easy to log into your account and request books as well as using your card to access e-titles on the Libby ap. There are many options to find your next read! 🙂

Haslet Public Library is such a wonderful place to go for all your library needs. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. For a small town this library is well stocked with opportunities to secure just about anything in which you're interested. Kudos to the staff for their positive attitudes and helpful nature. One of Tarrant County's best kept secrets!

Great smaller library.
Nice kids section. Friendly staff. Bonus that it’s located across from the city park.

While at the library a group of young kids (4 and under) were in the “children’s section” and one of the workers comes out of their office shushing the happy, excited children. She then goes to the women at the front and complains to them because they then come over and tell the kids to use their inside voices. The library was empty apart from these young kids that were sitting at the designated table doing puzzles and reading books with their mothers. A public library should encourage learning and social interactions and never be so negative and honestly the woman was down right rude. Maybe she should be a remote worker and not be spreading a toxic culture.

Today(09 Aug 2024) there were three librarians and none of them greeted me. I greeted them again loudly because I thought they didn't hear me at the first time, but they completely ignored me and treated me like I was invisible. They are definitely arrogant and discriminatory. I wonder how Heselt City hires and manages its employees when they are so rude and impolite without manners.

It’s nice for a small library, but the hours are really restricted for working parents. This wouldn’t be a big deal but since you can’t just get a library card to any library (outside of your home city) these days, it can be difficult to work in summer library trips with your kids when your work hours are the same as the library hours and the kiddos have activities on days the library is open until 7. More weekend hours would be nice.

It’s a good little library with a solid selection of books. I have a library card and like to come here. It’s hit or miss whether the workers are going to be nice or rude. Some are generally really friendly, others are more stand-offish, and others I feel like I’m walking on egg shells because I just don’t know how they’re feeling that day and how I’ll be treated.
