We took our kayak out for its maiden voyage a few weeks ago. At first, we had planned to check out Rifle Gap Res but decided to go with the smaller Res for our first time. The park was clean, and the water was absolutely stunning. It was surprisingly crowded this day, but we were able to find an area to launch and hit the lake. It was windy as can be with some choppy waves, but nonetheless, we enjoyed it and can't wait to get out there this summer!

I love morning, ot a great lake to fish, paddle board, and swim. The swim area is nice. They have tables and grills.

It was a good spot for paddleboarding . The water was nice and warm. We were amazed by the color the water. You can also swim and do picnics. There are picnic tables and some grills in the area. Highly recommend this spot to do some water activities .

It's definitely not a popular state park as it's hot, dry, and exposed. There were quite a few families there, and unfortunately, there was a lot of trash.

Lovely lake views! We happened upon Harvey Gap State Park on our way to Rifle Falls but this ended up being the highlight of our day! The lake was gorgeous and we hiked around and found an unexpected (to us) waterfall!

This is a beautiful spot for family recreation! No wakes are allowed so it is perfect for paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, etc. The swim beach has a good amount of shade, picnic tables, and toilets. It gets pretty busy on the weekends.

Really nice day-use State Park. You can camp at Rifle Gap/Falls State Park and do the short drive to Harvey Gap. Beautiful blue water. Wakeless lake is perfect for paddle boarding if the wind allows. Bring your own shade since there is not much of it.
