You can go in and get cool or warm and eat a decent meal. No judgments or looks. They give out clothing and let people shower. They are a real blessing out here.

For the most part when I first started going, it was very helpful: free food, clothes, showers, and laundry day. Yet, after a short period of time I start hearing rumors of cruelty done by the staff here. I didn't believe until I was the one being cursed at, and ran off. Usually because of a conversation or two people that don't meet eye to eye or saying that I'll report the disrespect to Decatur Daily. Smh*
It is sort of helpful but most of the people are too scared to speak up about the neglect due to being threatened of being trespassed or not able to get food and fear of being lied upon, because they will, and call DPD (local police); stick together, and play victim. In reality I am a victim of this! They will curse you, bash you, talk down, and call the law on you for no real reason after supposedly helping you. Most of them are atheists so we must pray for their lost souls and expunge these careless, selfish workers. Some of them are on HARD drugs too. Ms. Sue is a fraud! She sells what good donations they receive. I'm going to expose this injustice hospitality and neglect from Hands Across Decatur. Stand with me! #BLM

Really love what they do for the community. Me and my wife donated food and clothing a couple days ago and about 6 people came right out willing to help and the staff was polite.

They have a wonderful outreach founded by a very compassionate leader Sue. I have seen the kindness and respect shown to those who need the services provided. If you know of any homeless people who need a helping hand, please consider this organization. Also, they are always in need of volunteers and financial support.

I took alot of clothing and other things to Hands Across Decatur. When I pulled up I met the person running place. Some of the guys that were outside helped me get the things out of my car. Also the day I was there they were setting up a cooling area for the homeless to come inside where there was a/c and drinks to keep hydrated. This is a great place to donate to to help the less fortunate in our city of Decatur!
