They rarely answer phones, when you do get in touch with someone they act like they are surprised and try to come up with excuses to get you off the phone, they leave 1 message on your phone with no way to get back in touch with them since it requires the receptionist to transfer to their extension, and provide no email directly back to the person working the case, and apparently never receive the voice-mail left on the options that are allowed to leave a voice-mail but usually its full. This last time I was on hold and then call ended.

They need to hire a new crew including the receptionist. Sounded like a party was going on in the background this last time the receptionist answered.

Michaela was about to tell me you will need to submit a new application.....I surprised her with I already knew you were going to say that which is why I submitted a new one a week ago.

They spend more time trying to avoid work and figuring out how to make the process less efficient than doing work.

Jackie did call back this time after i was on hold with Michaela and the call ended on the GET-CAP side. Jackie then hung up in my face while I was trying to get more information proving my point that they increase their own call volume by choosing to be inefficient and provide limited or additional obstacles for customers to call back.

I called back and to my surprise someone answered.

I requested a manager to call me back from the GET-CAP office.

I'm sending this just in case my message is not delivered.

When I requested the managers name for the office I was told by Michaela that she could not provide that information but would take my number down and give it to her. I pointed clarified that she could not give me a state employees name running a state operated program?

In the end they spent more time trying to come up with excuses and accuse me of not listening. When I repeated word for word what I was just told by them then there was silence.

I want to file an official complaint on this office for this nonsense, poor customer service, and the projection of their ineffective listening onto the customer.

Jessica was amazing. She treated me like a person and said she would call me tomorrow and did just that! I was expecting a small amount for my electric bill but was so surprised when the amount was to cover my light bill for about 5 months!!! Also when I went in person and forgot some paperwork TWICE they gave me a chance to go home and get it without making me feel silly.
Everyone was so amazing at a point in my life where it was the straw. Thank you so much

My mother needed to fill out a 2025 application they currently do not have them available and they want be available until January. That was the only question that I had was about the 2025 application. There is a sign posted up against the wall that says “no cell phone usage” A young woman seen me on the phone and still told me that they would be with me shortly. A Hispanic lady came out and refused to answer any question that I had because I was “on the phone” when she asked me the first time I put the phone down… She proceeded to tell me again that she wasn’t going to answer my question cause I was on the phone… Now what she didn’t know is that I was on the phone with the person that I was getting the information for.. I get that you have a cell phone policy but the situation could have been handled so much better… If it wasn’t for my mother I would have walked out.. Just because you assist people doesn’t give you the right to be disrespectful…

CHAOTIC. It’s 5pm on a Friday and the contractors are REMOVING the new A/C unit they installed in my 88 year old father in law’s apartment because they got out of sequence of the units they’re installing. NOT MY PROBLEM, but now it IS my problem in a big way. I called GETCAP repeatedly for 2 solid minutes before someone named Alyssa finally answered. She had no idea who Chris Harkness is and said “This is out of our control” and that no one can help until Monday morning. I am LIVID. It’s 64 degrees and dropping. My father in law will be EIGHTY NINE in 2 days and suffers from extreme anxiety. I cannot just scoop him up and put him someplace until the powers that be provide him with climate control. What a wonderful way to ring in another trip around the sun. I’m going home now to try to find space heaters so my father in law can be comfortable for the weekend.
