It was easy to apply online to adopt. Someone got back to me that same night and we were able to go meet the dog we were interested in the very next morning. After spending some time with her we were able to apply for and receive a license right then, and bring her home! The staff was all exceptional. They were very friendly and were able to answer all of our questions, provided all her medical, and shot records in a folder for us to take home. Pyrite was definitely meant to be part of our family!!

For 20 years, there has been a special community in Grand Junction that has been saving dogs, cats and other animals that are abandoned, injured, starving, pregnant or surrendered, and who are at risk of being euthanized. These are the dedicated volunteers, donors and adopters of Grand Rivers Humane Society: they include long and short term fosters, health care providers, transporters , trainers, behaviorists, tech and web support and community business partners. Pets are now in the limelight and members of our family circles. In the past, they were not so lucky. I am grateful to all who have dedicated their skills and tallents to help the cause of Grand Rivers Humane Society. Protecting pets with passion!

We adopted our sweet Little Henry. It was a match made in heaven. Our other dog loves him and he makes us all so happy. Grand Rivers worked hard with us to find our perfect new member of the family.

We were looking for a kitten. The ladies were very helpful and kind. It was clean and the kittens were happy. We didn't find what we're looking for, but we'll be back! Please if anyone wants a pet...adopt!

What a tough job to take on, I’m so thankful that people like grand river human society exist. So many dogs need homes. The employees and volunteers are to be commended for all thier hard work and giant hearts.
