It is very nice that there is a community center with the amenities it offers BUT what good are all the amenities if the hours are not long enough each day to accommodate those working adults that usually workout before or after being in the office. And CLOSED SUNDAYS - why? It’s a community center. Also as other reviews have noted, the fitness center is always so full of teens on equipment, hanging out that it is challenging to move through a workout without waiting a lot for the teens/ young adults to get off equipment. The fitness area needs to be 2x the size, more equipment and open longer hours everyday of the week.

It’s as if the Community Center isn’t sure who their target audience is or who they want it to be. If it’s everyone then the space and hours should be adjusted to truly accommodate all.

Carbondale community center is open Sundays but Glenwood membership doesn’t apply.

Nice pool. Working somewhat with the actual user community. Not open on Sundays. What?

The entire staff is absolutely AMAZING. From the front desk employees to the class instructors, all of them have made me feel right at home. Thank you Jenny and Chris for assisting me with my new membership. ❤️

After a year of coming here I had a very unfortunate end to my membership. On top of the absurd cancellation fee (that recently increased) I was made to pay one more month of my membership. There was much confusion as to what I was supposed to be charged and the terms of cancelation that the manager had to become involved. I clarified with 3 different desk employees that I COULD use my membership for one more month but that I would have to check in verbally. I came in one day and a different desk assistant denied me access to the gym and said I would have to PAY EACH TIME I came in. She was very brusque and rude to me. To say the least, when it comes to memberships the rec center is not accessible to the community with their fees and they lack communication with their members. Very disappointed with how I was treated at the end.

Nice facility but if you get there when it is filled with teenagers it is hard to get a efficient workout but this may be tru at all workout facilities. Being there the other day, there was a young man that sat on a machine for at least twenty minutes having done 4 sets of 4 reps with SnapChat for 5 minutes in between. The concept of working in or asking if someone is in between reps is gone. I was on a machine and someone just came and took it without asking then were on it for 15 min with being on the phone in between. Again this is probably true of moat places. Also seems to be a lot of unsupervised kids younger than 14 in gym
with inconsistency of Age enforcement.

Not open enough hours!!! The hours of operation make it extremely difficult for working persons. The center closes much too early in the evening; making it inaccessible to anyone who works. By the time you make it there and are ready to use any of the facilities there’s only 30 minutes to actually use anything before closing!! Closing at 6 PM is ridiculous and extremely limits the amount of locals who can utilize this space. ‘Community center’ but only for the affluent persons in this community.

Fitness classes are great: challenging and fun. The staff is welcoming, the locker room is clean and there is absolutely everything you need: cardio, weight, climbing wall, swimming pool, fitness studio.... the daily pass is affordable. Will definitely come back.

Only complaint I have is space. If you go either early in the morning or after 5pm the kids hog the squat rack and the Bench and some of the good machines, leaving you with free weights and virtually no room to use them. Other than that the rock climbing wall is awesome and so is the basketball court
