Got picked up at Bally’s Casino and taken to Lakewood. No medical services given, EMTs let me throw up on my clothes before giving me a vomit bag, and charged almost $2200 for the service, almost as much as hospital with doctors, nurses, and testing. Absurd charge. No wonder the medical system is broken. Not sure how Gilpin County Board justifies these type of charges.

On Nov. 13th, I was gambling with my husband at Johnny Z's in Central
City. My nose started bleeding from both nostrils very bad. We couldn't
stop the bleeding and it was decided to call the ambulance. As soon as
I got in, Courtney took my blood pressure, which was about 2--/1--, and all
the way to Lutheran Medical Center, she talked to me and asked me
questions which settled me down considerably. I really was impressed
with her care for what I was going through and with the driver for getting
us down safely in extreme traffic. So thanks to both of them for a job
which, in my opinion, was above and beyond expectations.
