This is a really educational and beautiful visitors center. The staff here know everything about the shops in town, the Loop Railroad, and surrounding sights. They provided a map of the town and historic district that was very useful and pointed out places to eat. I bought a pretty scarf and the prices for local crafts are very reasonable. Great place be sure and stop in. Also very clean restrooms.

Great little place off the road to stop and stretch your legs, take in a bit of history, and partake in some of the best pickled garlic you can find! There are clean bathrooms here, offering a clean and warm respite from the chilly Colorado weather.

This place is a great first stop on your way to the Rocky mountains. It has a nice fancy looking gift shop and so much of information to figure out what activities you can do in any season. There is a ton of souvenirs here. Also just around the corner there are multiple gas stations around to fill up the gas tank.

I had some time to kill before riding the Georgetown Loop, so I stopped in here. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful and you have a lot of things to choose from. Anything from Colorado books, postcards and brochures. There’s also nice clean restrooms and plenty of parking.

Seems closed. Doors were locked on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe they should have a display of flyers and town info outside of their location, so visitors could get info about the town, places to go, events, etc. Also, could post their hours of operation, or if they are just closed on weekends, etc.

Loved this town! Went up Guanella Pass and around the second bend we came upon a couple rams. What a gift for a photographer. Thank you for being such a scenic masterpiece!

My wife and i recently moved to the Denver area in November 2018. We finally stopped in Georgetown to explore and paid our first visit to the visitors center. Right away when i walked in a woman helped answer my question about how often you can see the big horn sheep on the mountainsides in the area. There is a little room with chairs to learn some of the history of the town, particularly the skiing history. There's a public restroom, snacks and lots of souvenirs. A great place to stop first before you explore this small town.
