I would NEVER entertain the idea of putting my person in this company's care. Just ask them how many INVESTIGATIONS there are. Disgusting! It's management it's staff it's the people they send out to waste your time.
I've seen better care of special needs people THIRTY years ago.

Campus/cottage style homes for intellectually disabled adults. Great "house mothers", positive, patient and interactive staff. Our daughter shares a cottage with 6 other female cottage mates/sisters. They all have their own rooms and have a Jill/Jill (shared) bathroom between 2 rooms. When not in Covid, they go out on regular outings, several have jobs in the community, they go shopping, to the movies, pizza nite, birthday parties and seasonal dances etc. There are job coaches, counselors and nurses on campus. They have regular visits from a dentist, a physician, dietitian and optometrist.
Of course, when 7 females live together, there are going to inevitebly be disagreements between one another, but staff are well equipped to de-esculate and manage such situations. Not every intellectually disabled adult would benefit and blossom in this situation, but our daughter has and is living the most independent, adult life she is capable of. She has matured into a confident, happy, young adult who is living her life to the highest extent she is capable of.

Most staff really cares for the people stuck here. Upper management is money hungry and take from these people as much as they can. They use these great kids and older adults to get as much money as they can from the community and give little back in work, entertainment and care. If Helen Gatesway was still alive she'd be so disappointed in the direction this facility has taken. It was supposed to be a non profit to give the physical and mentally challenged individuals a great place to live and get training to integrate into their communities and the ones that couldn't, a place to keep them active and involved, it has fallen so far short of this goal over the years because of administration using it as a way to get wealthier at these individuals cost. So very sad. The ones that are paying for these so called educated nice lifestyle is the ones that need this money the most. More staff that care and more activities, including vocational training and more effort to get these individuals into their community. And I'm saying the very upper administration. If they do have any individual that tries to advocate for themselves they use their inhouse dr's to get them on control drugs and tries to shut anyone out that would speak on their behalf. NOT the same place as it use to be. They shut the doors to outside individuals to come in and get vocational training and only allow inhouse individuals that have less challenging disabilities to integrate into the work community. It was a thriving welcoming facility in the past, but now it's a money maker for the greedy.
