Charlie and Tracie are excellent hosts with a vibrant connection to the Durango community. They are knowledgeable about all the best spots to eat, activities to do, and events.

The Gable House is beautiful and has a fascinating history. Charlie and Tracie will tell you all about it over a fantastic breakfast. The house and rooms are immaculate, and the beds are super comfortable!

Overall, I cannot recommend staying with Charlie and Tracie at the Gable House enough!

If I could have rated higher than 5/5, I would! Gable House is really a very special place to stay in Durango, down largely to the exceptional hosting of Tracie and Charlie who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The history of the house is fascinating, the location is so convenient for downtown, the breakfast was delicious, enhanced further by our hosts’ company - it really felt like staying with family. If you’re looking for anonymous accommodation, this is not the place for you but if you’re looking for a warm, comfortable and welcoming stay, look no further.

Wow! We just had a great stay at the Gable House Inn, a beautiful and authentically historic B&B. The hosts are really kind people to get to know, informative and welcoming. They gladly provided us helpful local food and travel recommendations while we were exploring Durango and nearby sites. ||The room and the bed were very comfy, and their breakfasts were to die for. We really enjoyed chatting with the owners and fellow guests while sampling the local apple juice, their home made granola, and the tasty main dishes, which were different every day. ||If you're thinking of going to Durango, we highly recommend staying at The Gable House B&B Inn!

We enjoyed a stay-cation during Snow Down! Such a great experience, and a treasure other locals should experience. It was a close walk to festivities downtown and they did a great job at taking care of us. The breakfast & coffee were top notch. The history of the house was the icing on the cake. The house has a great story, fantastic artefacts, and Charlie is very knowledgeable and tells it well. Thank you for the relaxing weekend. Hope to do it again next year.

Christmas at The Gable House was amazing! Tracie & Charlie made us feel like we were with family. Breakfast was a 5-star start to every day. We truly enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. Location is perfect for exploring the town (walking distance) as well as skiing Purgatory Mountain. The experience of staying in a home with so much history is un-like any other, our kids enjoyed learning about the history of the house from Tava and playing with the host dogs Dozer & Jesse.|The Gable House is the place stay in Durango!

Staying at the Gable House and exploring downtown Durango feels like living on the set of a Hallmark movie. The Gable House is stunning, kept in great condition, and includes modern amenities without losing the historic charm. The hosts, Tracie and Charlie are incredibly welcoming, helpful and accommodating. They share helpful tips and tricks, offer incredible recommendations for lunch, dinner, shopping and recreation and help you get to know the history of the house and town. The icing on the cake though, is by far Tracie’s breakfast. It’s by far the best in town and each day we stayed we got to taste something new, but always delicious. There’s no place in Durango that matches the quaint charm of the Gable House nor the hospitality that Tracie and Charlie offer.
10/10 recommend!

Absolutely stunning. Beautiful architecture and located perfectly nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood. Within walking distance of fun shops and good food. I can't wait to go back! Hosts were extremely pleasant and I loved learning the history of the house during our amazing home cooked breakfast. Give Dozer and Jessica big hugs from me! I miss them already! 😆||

Lovely historic home with great hosts and top-notch locally-sourced breakfast. A quiet retreat within walking distance of downtown Durango and a short climb to the Fort Lewis campus. The hosts are very thoughtful and knowledgeable and offer nice touches like local chocolates and Nespresso coffee maker and teas in the common room. Well appointed and kept up nicely
