Many many complaints. The staff here show little consideration to the over all health in my father. He's missed many important appointments including a surgical procedure. I've gotten many excuses , short staffed, no transportation or we can take him but we can't sit with him. Wow! On top of all this there's no protocol for if he becomes ill. I was told today that if his BP becomes elevated they can't call us or the doctor every time that happens nor will a visit to the ER be accommodated. These are our veterans... very sad.

Great place to live the staff are so friendly and attend to the residents in a timely matter. But the kitchen on the other hand is infected with roaches. They are everywhere in the kitchen. The kitchen is very dirty no one cares to clean it. Worst kitchen I even worked in.

Cancels numerous VA appts the day prior or just never brings patients to their appts the day of. It's been so many at this point, it seems intentional and exclusionary.

Visited our PaPa John today and took him for a stroll. We were happy to see a clean environment and more cheerful residents. Thank you for all the dedication to our Veterans and their family.

Between May 4 night shift and May 5 day shift 2024 someone went into my elderly father's belongings and stole a lottery ticket that I had purchased for him the person also scratched the other ticket barcode but left it behind since it was a losing ticket so we are assuming the other ticket was a winner. This facility has given us the run around they claimed to have had a meeting speaking to every staff member on his hall but nobody has contacted us of their findings we even went and asked but was told that we would hear from the person in the morning my mom never received a call. Now we are told that they didn't have any meeting about this and that evert staff member working there has denied stealing the ticket. A ticket doesn't just grow legs and walks off someone is clearly lying. Yes we called a reported it to the police but they closed the case due to the fact that this facility claimed their cameras are not working the police officer told us they were just for show. Now the day manager changed her story saying yes they have cameras but they are live feed and nobody is watching the cameras. What is the point for live feed if nobody is watching and for security reasons what if an elderly fell down or worse an employee pushing the elderly down it's not recorded and said employee gets away with it that's not right. Then we were told we can't be buying lottery tickets and leaving them with my father what the heck he wants enjoyment while in his room that's one of his favorite things to do is scratch tickets. This facility also has certain staff who treat the elderly bad my dad has advanced Parkinson's and one staff Lady refused to help my dad into his bed from his wheelchair my dad has brought this to their attention but this staff member still continues to do this to him. We also told the facility if something ever happens to my father to notify us immediately they didn't tell us he fell until after we heard it from him first and the facility called to notify us hours later.

I visited as part of a DAR group. We came as a Veteran’s Day Party was taking place. The veterans were enjoying us being there and chatting with them.
The staff was plentiful, present, and smiling! I can not say enough about how impressed I was with their friendliness to visitors and the residents.
The building is clean, homey, and decorated amazingly. The rooms were personalized. It felt active and an interesting place to be.
