Let your terrible experience at this place be the final broken string as to why you’re getting out. If you’re feeling adventurous, trying giving this place a call and watch how fast no one is ever going to pick up. This place is the cherry on top to all the nonsense the U.S. Army has to offer once your contract ends. Don’t look back once it’s over and move on once you get your DD-214.

Currently clearing right now and i waited an hour and a half for finance to give me a paper that took 5 min to do and ive been waiting 2 hr on transitions to even come out and check the lobby. There is 12 people waiting and some 1sg just came up and is now getting helped before everyone who has been waiting. Do your job. Help people do what yall require us to do.

This office (and really the entire clearing process) is a great example of everything wrong with the Army's human resources.

Internet went down at the facility at 0800 on Friday. Backup systems? Of course not! Redundancy? Of course not! Relocate to a different facility? Of course not. Just have everyone sit around and wait.

This, of course, absolutely destroys the timeline of the people trying to clear and move on with their lives. But oh well, at least the Department of Army Civilians that (barely) work here get paid regardless!

Good luck if you're being Medically Retired as a Reservist... they don't have a clue on how to deal with you. You can't get your DD214 until you have a finance memo... can't get the memo unless you have a DD214. That is the run-around I got.

Got my hiv drawn today. It was a quick and painless process. The medics run a really well oiled machine there. I was in and out in 15 mins.

Probably the worst group of civilian employees I’ve seen in 20 years of service. Staff will not answer the phone. Staff will not reply to emails. If you go there in person, they’ll give you a run around answer.

Good luck getting a hold of anyone, no one answers phones. I retired in May and trying to submit my travel voucher but it says i have to do it at my installation. Well i moved dip heads, i dont have an installation to do it at.

I went up there in December attempting to get clearing papers verse, they told me to come back 30 days prior to my terminal leave start date

Come back 30 days prior and they tell me that I need to come back 14 days prior

Come back 14 days prior and they do the same thing and say 10 days prior

I come back 10 days prior and I am told by their staff that I don't clear Fort Carson Because I am an AGR soldier..

After making them confirm the craziness that I heard, I walk away once again with nothing.

February 14th rolls around, the day before my terminal leave, it takes them 3 hours to finally give me a stack of clearing papers with NOTHING prechecked.

I finally manage to get everything signed off and checked... during my terminal leave mind you... and I'm met with them, at the final check, saying that they want some random document from SFL-TAP that isn't on the check list, nor do I have a copy of anymore due to them taking it on February 14th.

I was referred to this sheer lazy and incompetent civilian that claims to be a supervisor and he just shrugs his shoulders at me. His employees are the worst of the worst and he does nothing but manage time sheets from the look of it. This entire process is a failure of the system and a MASSIVE case of fraud, waste, and abuse.

Just going to write the congressman about it. This is sheer insanity that many of them still have jobs. This system needs to be redone from the floor up
