CAC expires this month. Made an appointment because the machine at my brigade is broke. Got told to kick rocks by Secretary. Go to every other brigade on Post first and if you provide proof that they cant help you. You can make an appointment here.
*Went to Peterson and got helped same day

Needed to have 2 forms of ID to renew my CAC card, but the unexpired CAC card doesn’t count. As usual our Fort Carson Deers office works it’s hardest to prevent and not provide assistance.

I honestly had a great experience. I know that DEERS gets a lot of bad reviews, and I’m sure there’s long wait times, but I think it’s a matter of strategy. I showed up at 11:45 because I wanted to be first in line when they opened at 12:30. Sure, I was bored for 30 minutes, but I was first in line and it was the quickest service I’ve ever experienced with no appointment. customer service was fantastic, and they answered all my questions. I told them I would give a five star review, because it was such a better experience than I’ve ever had it any other army base for 12 years.

This is the worst ID card office I have ever been to. The hour's state closing is at 15:30. I showed up right before 15:00, and they turned me away, saying they were closing at 15:00

Not helpful at all, and I could not schedule an appointment with them even though my Brigade's ID was closed because their ID machine was down.

Been coming here during walk in hours and have been turned around because of "max capacity" or they don't have enough techs. We were literally the next one to get seen and got turned around numerous times. Finally made an appointment and told appointments run from 1230 to 1530 and just to show up and find out they're closed from 1230 to 1530 for "training". This is the most useless place here on Carson. Fire these employees and bring in new management.

They moved locations into a bigger facility just to have the same 2-3 staff members. Place is always backed up beyond belief and the staff members reassure you that THEY are in charge.

By far the worst id card facility I’ve been to in the army. 9/10 they will turn you away instead of helping. They are not customer focused whatsoever.
