They take a bunch of your opinions on the topic and then at the end of every single study they ask you if you’ve bought crackers or mayo or dips, like every single survey- even when it has nothing to do with the topic of the survey. And they disqualify you based on any answer. This is their way to scam you and get your opinions for free in the survey, but never actually qualify you for the actual studies.

This review is long overdue, however, I think it is very necessary to write. Focus and Testing has VERY poor, I mean TERRIBLE, customer service and business practices. First off, the ladies in charge, specifically Diana & Sima, are very rude and condescending. They both talk to all participants like we are children, and act as though they are always bothered whenever you have a question or need clarification regarding an assignment.

Secondly, this place is extremely unorganized. Many times, I have been seated after signing in, in the back room in our assigned seats, just for them to bring out wrong products, have technically difficulty with the log in process, or just completely start over due to passing out/testing wrong products. This business is so disorganized, yet they allow for 0 flexibility with the participants. The employees have not only told you to answer a certain way over the phone so that they can meet their quotas and get you approved, they have also come around and just answered portions of your survey for us so that they can appear as though things are being accurately analyzed, etc. There have been several studies in which I have participated in, that should have taken only 15 minutes, but because of the lack of organization and slow processing, bringing out 1 item at a time, very quick online surveys often end up taking an hour or longer.
There are "Take-Home" studies in which the links provided will also not work, yet they do nothing to help rectify the issue, if you call they do not answer or literally say they are too busy to help you and to "figure it out", and therefor they will not pay you for all your time and subsequent participation. What makes it worse, is that, if you, a participant, are 1 minute late to your appointment, they will automatically disqualify you and tell you to leave, of course not paying you.

After dealing with their antics for years, I was removed from the system and told I could no longer participate. The last appointment, I arrived a minute late, to a survey they called me to fill in for very last minute. I left work about 30 minutes early, sat in an hour or more of traffic, and upon arrival, just 1 minute past the start time, I was told I could not participate and to go home. Because I wanted to speak with the manager, regarding the absurdity of this situation and discuss the situation, hoping he could understand and allow some flexibility, (which they would not provide his contact info), instead they removed me from the system so that I could no longer participate.
This business needs to be audited and hopefully shut down.

Did a multi week study. Somehow 125 turned into 75 on pay day. Don't trust these people. When they pay the 50they owe me ill consider removing w negative review.

Before then don't trust them. Make sure your not planning on paying a bill. Completely untrustworthy.

their setup is great, the only thing i'd like more of is communication. it feels like the employees always assume that we know what to do and where to go without any directions and i get a bit stressed since i have to ask and i don't like to annoy them?

this place has always had bad vibes. The staff is unprofessional. I called asking for a supervisor email they said they couldn’t provide me one but I could leave a message; I asked if there was a time I could call back and speak to a supervisor directly and they replied “not currently”. So are you running this place with no higher ups? Or I also know for a fact they still owe my friend money. On top of that today SIMA was yelling at a participant in front of a whole group of people. I Highly discourage anybody from doing studies here…unless you don’t want to be paid for your work ?

I usually love this place but today i walked in to such unprofessionalism...it was unbelievable. Sima was raising her voice at one of the participants like screaming. No matter what the question or issue was, she should have handled it in private. I will not be returning. Unless you wanna be screamed at, i suggest you go somewhere else.
