This church has been a breath of fresh air for our family. We had been looking for a place where our kids would be more than a number and truly feel like a part of the church community. FCPC more than fits the bill. Children and youth are respected and invited to play a vital role in the life of the church. The pastor has invested in each of my children in such a way that they know they are truly loved and accepted as they are. This church is a genuinely loving and inclusive space, and we are so thankful a place like this exists in our area.

The members of this church are the most genuinely nice and welcoming people I have ever met. It felt so nice to walk in and be greeted so nicely and warmly. I really like that it is not a church with mega-large number of members. I feel lost and just another face in the crowd when I’ve attended the super large churches built to hold 1,000+ people. FCPC has such a great mission too. It was really refreshing. If you are looking for a down-to-earth, genuinely friendly, and cozy church to attend, I highly recommend FCPC.

As a Cumberland Presbyterian graduate student in Murfreesboro, it was important for me to find a open, welcoming, and affirming congregation with whom I could worship. The First CP Church of Murfreesboro has done a lot of work to show their support of the LGBTQIA+ community, anti-racism, and social justice work. From my first visit onward, I have been welcomed and invited to attend and participate in the life of the church. It has been a vital lifeline enabling me to stay connected to my faith and community. I could not ask for a better temporary church home.

I just cannot hold back on writing a review about this great Church. I like that they are helping people and providing relief to people in this pandemic. I live a block away from this church and I saw through their sign post that they will be handing out food boxes to people today. I gave it a try and the warm reception from the people was so amazing. They did not even ask me if I was a member or I would be interested in joining the church. I was very impressed. May the Lord continue to bless this Church in Jesus name.

It does not have a great choir. However, it has terrific friendly members that are welcoming. The preacher was the best I have heard in a long time. I hope it’s congregation grows because this traditional service is the best in town. I have visited several churches, too.

As a life long Cumberland Presbyterian studying at MTSU, it was important for me to find an accepting and LGBTQ affirming church community here in Murfreesboro. The church community has been nothing but kind and I am glad that Murfreesboro has such a kind place to worship.
