I am so very grateful to the Sunsinw center and it's staff. They went above and beyond to get me to a safe place. So grateful. My case worke shemika is wonderful and my counselor Essence was great. Thanks you to everyone at the center.

I stayed here in 2019 with my 2 toddlers. It was bitter sweet. Some staff really care about the women and families there. Others treated us like we had to be contained. My case worker was alright but her demeanor could be cold. The director could care less about helping anyone. She was a rude lady who didn't like kids and accused my 4 year old son of plugging the toilets when we weren't even there. Some really don't understand abuse and expect everyone to meet all these milestones when emotionally we felt like we were hit by a bus. Staff needs to be reeducated and learn empathy. There were a few workers that were really sweet though and went an extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Shout out to Michelle who was my counselor for 2 years before I entered the shelter. She really encouraged me to leave my abusive marriage.

They show favoritism you can make complaints on other residents picking and bothering you but make it seem like you the problem the man who over the facility won’t let you talk if u in a meeting ms nikki act like she care but she don’t cause I been complaining to her about several problems I had with the other woman she act like she was gone do some and haven’t and tried to flip everything on me and they put me out when I start making complaints but if u go to this place don’t complain just call the head lady cause apparently they act like they scared of the director he very rude and and all of them messy n sneaky except ms essences and everybody know your business and things suppose to be confidential but it’s not …..

My sister came to y'all for help and you did nothing to help her so why are y'all even there for you just got a bunch of grant money what are you doing with it not helping some one one out of domestic violence that's for sure she needs a safe place to stay with her son insted of helping she had to go back and she got bet again so thank you

The center was good for the most part but supplies donated are often kept from guest...
I was also not helped with housing to protect me from my abuser
