This supposed to be a place to help out the people and there kids in bad times, I called today and spoke with BETH gave her all my information that was needed and was preparing to send her my info the check stub and other information and I received a called from a *334 number it was Beth calling back I didn’t know who was calling at first I kept saying “Hello” nobody ever responded just heard my kids last name being mentioned and my situation getting talked about in the background with another coworker asking all different types of questions about my kids dad and etc situations that they shouldn’t even have been talking about someone that’s reaching out for help this is VERY unprofessional for a business that prides on helping people so after feeling bad about harsh things was said about me I would rather go someone else for help!!!!

I recently attempted to seek refuge here but I was turned away due to not having a car. They told me to just stay in my horrible situation until I save enough money to move out. This unexpected and disheartening experience left me feeling vulnerable and overlooked. The staff's decision to deny assistance based on transportation criteria raises concerns about inclusivity and compassion for those in need. I hope the shelter reevaluates its policies to ensure a more inclusive and understanding environment for all individuals facing homelessness. Very sweet and kind people, just not very helpful. They’ve never even suggested a different option or another shelter I could attend. Disheartening experience for sure.
