Staff didn't help me and I just left. The staff had a girl break the no talking rule after a certain time and she wouldn't let me sleep so it pissed me off and I lwft the shelter. They tried to make it seem like the whole thing was my fault and they just made my life more difficult. I would just try another town if I was someone considering where to stop and find help. I hope things get better there I didn't like anything about it

It's sad to say that you feel better on the street. This place has a creepy occult feel. I've felt safer around inmates then I did with the staff there. Thiers not a genuine smile from anyone there...it's fake. They even have cots that say f.e.m.a. on them. Don't go here you'll regret it

This a facility designed for the staff, not the homeless. Well funde, well resourced, and well done, it is a monolith to community outreach. Clean and spectacular it is. However this is where that ends. They sit down the few homeless they have usually with almost as many staff as homeless. They lay down food, great food and stare for the 15 minutes allotted and start hustling them out.
If you stay overnight, expect questions to be responded to with threats of being kicked out. Regardless if you are attempting to follow instructions.

I am thankful for the help this organization gives to Amarillo's homeless. My only sadness was that on Sundays the people don't get a meal due to staff is off. And I agree the staff is deserving of the day off and maybe should have the weekend, but could we not pay for a weekend crew to cover the needs of the homeless? I would be willing to help.

Tuesday is women's shopping Day. Mission was checking people for lice. Said I had lice, denied me food and clean clothes from shopping Day. I have no lice. No one else can find lice. Ms. Shannon said she would get me some clothes since NOW they can't find lice in my hair either. Top it off I went to get the clothes and Ms. Shannon refuses and says come back on shopping Day. So service is still denied. Why would they say I have bugs, embarrassing, disrespectful and down right cruelty. Why? I've never been any trouble for them. Why deny me service when they have nothing else to offer for women. Deny me for no reason. So be careful as it seems to depend on the mood of the day on wether female get to eat. If you do have lice you will be sent away hungry and I don't see Jesus in them.

Friendly but not worth staying if you you want to wear there pajamas makes you feel like a prisoner plus now they are checking me a billfolds which contains private information like bank cards n social security cards if I could I give zero stars plus I just contacted the federal government department division that funds them that's a bad check on there part they only in this for money because there workers are on parole and have to be there thus is more of a halfway house not worth the trouble I will go hungry before i go there again for anything

You either love it or hate it. I think a persons attitude plays the biggest part in that. I have a heart for the homeless since I've been there. I have seen total transformations from there. I have also seen people being asked to leave for the wrong attitudes. Just remember a person can only help a person who is willing to accept it!
I watched two girls go from homeless to owning her own businesses making the newspapers. God is good ALL the time y'all! Faith> Fear

It's a great for those that don't have a place to be or stay a a hot meal in the morning in the afternoon and a dinner time it always is great place to be if you have no place to go I thank the Lord for this blessing people that give to give and do not ask for nothing thank you Lord for putting people like that and people's and really need at the moment when is needed thank you Lord I always said there's a lot of kind people and there is this shelter when there's no place to go I say to you if you have no place to go Google and ask them kind people if you can be able two stay be for the night to resolution your self for next day it always is helpful 4 the people that are homeless have nobody in Amarillo or no one to go they have clothing they have meals they have snacks for the day and put them ones they can't do for themselves there's always help over there for them so I think back to the mission and whoever found or put this place is the greatest not in the world but the greatest around thank you Foreigner great day keep up the good work because the Lord will bless you more don't want you all have it will never stop and will always come to you and I'll always be there for the ones that you all help and there's no race no color just cheer person to see how big the name did you have at the moment so one more time I praise the Lord to help me as he helped them and to keep them and the greatest of pass so they can hear and say and preach the name will you hold name Jesus Christ thank you guys have a great day and God bless
