This morning we were in the Denver area after a procedure for my wife and we decided to stop by Encounter Church on our way to the airport. We stopped by for the 9am service where we had a great talk with their lead pastor Reece, and listened to his daughter give a great teaching, and it was all kicked off by amazing worship from Bri Wilson and the team, it was like going to a live concert. Thank you all for the hospitality, everyone in the church were extremely nice and we recommend this church for anyone passing by or in the area. Thank you to all the staff and people at Encounter.

The sanctuary isn't exactly wheelchair accessible but the ushers and other employees make a special effort to seat those with mobility issues. Since this church is in an office building it doesn't have the vibe that I'm used to but it does have a large greeting lobby and other rooms. We originally attended this church when it was Orchard Road Christian Center and they moved to this location and changed the name befitting what they do best. Friendly people and staff and you do get fed the Word and worship the Lord.

Preaching is watered down, no firm stances on what is right. Leaders are more into people pleasingly and avoiding offending folks than preaching the word, and letting the Holy Spirit move. Leadership is compromised and tip toe around the truth. Sermons contain inappropriate, worldly, culturally pleasing, content. They play both sides of the political fence instead of agreeing on a side of what is right. One of the pastors is very controlling and unloving. Pastors need deliverance from demons. Everything is timed and scheduled programs, there's no room for the Holy Spirit to move. They don't deviate from their plans. Very few of the attendees are on fire for God, it's more of a country club for folks who believe in Jesus but don't want to follow the Holy Spirit into the deep end of the pool. They like their floaties in the shallow end.

Absolutely amazing... kind, welcoming people! Preaches from the bible and then relates it to real world situations! Outstanding worship I feel the holy spirt everytime Im there and don't want to leave. So happy to be part of such a strong Christian ✝️ based church family! It's not about the building that makes a church but the Christ like minded people that gather together in worship and teaching of Jesus!

Horrible Leadership. Many of the people in leadership were extremely belittling and disrespectful. Ruth and Pastor Frieda like to go around calling people babies. They do not accept anyone from the LGBTQ + community and make that very clear, and are extremely manipulative, especially when it’s comes to tithes, offering, first fruits, etc… stay far away from this Toxic cult/business.

I grew up going to Marilyn hickeys Church at Orchard Road Christian Center. Since then they moved to new location and it is still the same church I grew up in and love. You can come as you are and everyone is welcoming and loving regardless of how you look. It's an impactful experience and every service I go to you can feel the presence of God. They have classes and they also have counseling.

Encounter has been my home church for about a year now and has a great place to get plugged in (play on the worship team). The pastoral team and church body in general is truly spirit lead and has a great family/community vibe. It's been a pleasure and honor serving the church and community here.
