Edit 2025: The program's director met with me today and she really took time and gave me better explanations of how to use the grant than a former employee did. I have more of a plan, goals, and instructions now so that is really appreciated.

2023: I've found the family support program to be more stressful than helpful. My emails have been ignored or response is usually very delayed. This program was suggested because I've been in caregiver burnout, so worried about everything, but it's added to the load rather than relieve anything.

We are so pleased with the Emory Valley Early Learning Center. The director of the program is professional, visible, easy to contact, very helpful, organized and responsive to all parental concerns and needs of children. The teachers are well trained and professional. The staff lovingly takes care of the children as if they were their own. The center encourages an open door policy allowing parents to visit and see the program any time. The children are exposed to a well rounded/developmentally appropriate curriculum. The best mark for the goodness of the place is noted in how happy the children are at the center. They are excited to come to school and are happy when parents collect them to go home. It's a wonderful and highly recommended place!

Long story short the houses are poorly managed, staff make the job unpleasant, and the people that are cared for aren’t taken seriously when they ask for help. Employment was a nightmare.

I have been blessed by the support I have received. It's very good to have an agency that acknowledges the real needs of anyone with disbilities when there is no other place to turn.

My daughter has been at Emory Valley Center for over 20 years....Great program...limited only by the funds it receives that must be stretched to fund multiple programs. Very caring staff. She would be lost without EVC. Please help raise funds for a new building!
