Be aware, this competitive soccer league is no better for your child than the others in the area. Do not assume that your child would be better off in this league than another just because Emerald is "Christian based." The experience this year for my son has not been an absolutely positive one.

Tate Reddick is a HUGE disappointment to what the Emerald Youth Foundation stands for. I am disgusted by his behavior as a coach and Emerald Avenue Foundation employee. Shame on Emerald Avenue Foundation for allowing this man to participate in any leadership role. Do better Emerald Avenue Foundation!!

Interested in the soccer ⚽️ program?

⚠️ Proceed with caution ⚠️

In general, the mission of EYF and its impact in our city is important; however, as of this writing, the ⚽️ soccer ⚽️ program is in need of new leadership. ❌

The volunteer Coaches are not respected or appreciated, despite the countless hours given to the sport and the kids. Team benches are generated based on a ‘good old boy’ system where the leadership will casually overrule the coach’s decision, regardless of the actual talent a player brings to the pitch.

If you’re thinking to volunteer as a coach, consider how much you enjoy having your decisions on your team overruled, and whether or not you respond well to being told to obey and get in line and ‘do as I say.’. If you like this kind of leadership, volunteering with this org may be your cup of tea.

Emerald youth offers opportunities in sports of all types around the Knoxville area two children who might not have that opportunity. Basketball volleyball swimming after school assistance the list is endless if you have questions contact emerald youth and ask what they have available!
