We were traveling from the East Coast for a funeral and had reserve the rooms ahead of time. The staff was very nice and on top of everything, the room was a lot nicer than some of the ones we stayed along the way. They were able to accommodate all of our needs

Good spot, fair price 👍 It's a well kept older building , my room was very clean and the bed was better than I expected for an Econo. Bfast was waffles & sausage , some prepackaged eggs in the fridge would be a nice add for the future. I'd stay again anytime.

Cheap room. Basic. Ice machine broken. Breakfast was typical - eggs, sausage, waffle machine. 2 types of cereal, bread, english muffins, bagel. Coffee, hot water, apple juice and orange juice.

This is a rural Econo Lodge, not a luxury resort. My room was clean and comfortable.

I am a member of the Choice Hotel chain primarily because I can find affordable, clean rooms almost anywhere I decide to stop. And they have a good cancellation policy that gives me peace of mind should my travel plans require a change as on this stay.

I originally had reservations for another Choice Hotel but Delta baggage delayed my departure and I could not make the required drive to it safely. As my trip included a lot of spontaneity as far as stops, side trips, etc., I found this one after stopping for fuel. By the time I filled up, tiredness starting setting in and seeing this one across the street I decided to stop early for the night.

I was pleased with be given a clean room with more amenities than others offer at a higher priced. The message type shower head felt great on my aching neck and back.

I got a good nights sleep and was feeling refreshed when I opened my door to head towards the free breakfast. Someone was cooking up waffles and the smell only increased my anticipation for a hot breakfast. I was not disappointed!

Room was clean but slightly moist. Outlets in room were not great and chargers kept falling out.

Entryways were pretty dirty but, the motel and rooms are OK. Our room had a corner with a desk and office chair where we got some work done. Also, a small "den" area with table, decent chairs and big TV. Happy accident or, someone put much thought into the furnishings and room layout. There was a fridge and microwave provided but, alas, no coffee maker. The bed was just OK - nothing special and the 4 little pillows were nothing to get excited about. Breakfast included cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs and sausage - one step above the standard "carbonental". Overall stay was actually comfortable and pleasant yet, the price on a Friday night totaled just over $100. NOT a good value - I felt "gouged". Otherwise it would have been a 4 star review.

I was very leary of this location but it was the only hotel available in the area that I was traveling through. The low price made me very nervous. Upon arrival it was clear that they are working to update the hotel. Our room was painted, and while there were older fixtures and tub, everything worked great and was clean. We only needed a place for a quick sleep as we were passing through. I'd stay again if passing through.

Pro: It’s convenient and reasonably priced, room was clean, shower water pressure and flow were fabulous. Breakfast was adequate, though nothing to write home about. Free Wi-Fi. Front desk staff was courteous. Everything worked and it was fine for a one night stay.

Con: It's an old property. While there have been updates, much of the work has an amateurish look; fit and finish are kind of rough.

Walnut is a place you pass through, you don't really plan a visit to stay for recreation. We felt safe, the room was clean and the staff was friendly/hard working. The overall facility and rooms are worn and in need of updating. The breakfast options were lacking and we chose not to eat there. The price was affordable. There is dining and gas close by and it's seconds from getting back on to the interstate. Overall, this was a unplanned stop during our long travels and we were happy to find a place to stop that was close to the interstate. If similar circumstances arose and we found ourselves near Walnut, we would stay again.

First room we got was really musty and smelly. Then we asked for another room that one didn’t smell but the walls and everything else look pretty old. Towels in the bathroom were stacked on a toilet since the shelf was missing. In general, the hotel is really old and run down. The only positive thing I can think of was the person who ran the hotel, was polite and smiley.

My room was very clean. Excellent location off of I-80, within walking distance to a convenience store/gas station right across the street, and a restaurant/bar just a minute's drive away. I suppose you could walk the ten minutes to the restaurant as well. Friendly hotel staff and the building is dated but very well-kept.

Front dest was very nice when we asked about someplace to eat. This place is right off the freeway so it's in a good location. Exterior walls are very tiny so you hear alot of road noise. Only spent one night so it was worth it. Raining on n off, but it would have been nice to use the pool.
