After completing the VIOP program, they canceled my treatment, all because of my personal information. To me, that’s not fair; I should have been able to continue the program without having to provide my personal information, like my doctors’ details. That’s my right. They kept blowing up my phone and my email; they couldn’t leave me alone, which was very overwhelming for me. They weren’t helpful at all. Honestly, most of the staff had very fake personalities, and you could just see it. I feel really disappointed, and I didn’t feel comfortable giving them my information, and that’s final. They really overstepped my boundaries, and I was very disappointed with them for that, as it’s not okay to behave like that. I had a phone call with one of the workers, and they randomly hung up on me. They didn’t seem to understand, and most of their emails felt robotic, lacking common sense and understanding. They didn’t seem to care about my education or anything like that, even though I’m in college. This experience was baffling and traumatic for me because it’s hard for me to trust someone, especially after this. I totally don’t recommend this program, and it’s very expensive even if you have insurance. I just don’t trust these people whatsoever; they give you forms that are really repetitive. They should really stop being repetitive on their forms and understand that it’s okay not to give all your information. They should be respectful of that. Another thing is, when it comes to having alone time, if some people don’t want to socialize, they should be understanding. Instead, they treat it as an excuse for missing a day of IOP, which is unacceptable to me. That’s just my time to get my schoolwork done, not for them. They don’t seem to care about that. It should be a no star.

This was a very helpful program. All of the counselors were supportive and knowledgeable. It was the best thing that I have done for myself in a long time. It really improved my self esteem and confidence. Highly recommend!!

5 months ago, we made the difficult decision to send our 16 yr old daughter to the ERC - Plano. At the ERC she finally received the care she desperately needed. Her team was effective and compassionate. We will forever remember and be grateful for them. Not only did they restore her health, but the ERC gave us an invaluable education that has given us the tools to support our daughter’s recovery- 3 months post treatment now and counting! We feel lucky to have benefited from the people there who have dedicated their lives, decades, to the understanding and treatment of eating disorders. We have peace of mind knowing where to go, if our daughter ever needs a higher level of care again.

I used ERC for IOP and was so impressed. I had spent time in inpatient and residential at a different program and this one as far as superior. From my first encounter with intake coordinator, through the initial stages of getting approved by insurance all the way to the time, I finished the program I received exceptional communication, information, and support. Highly recommend!

Pathlight would be an effective program if they could only recognize the importance of their therapists. Both times I have been in this program the Therapists are changed around several times. I also think that groups should have a common link and not to just throw random patients into a group with noting in common. I left the program early for this reason. I will not be a part of Pathlight again and I will not recommend their services.

i am grateful for the existence of this program, the accountability and routine that it provided, and for some of the individual staff. however, having experienced both the erc and pathlight programs, i have some misgivings, and the general feeling that i am just another number in the organization's accounting books. there is little to be found here, in my experience, of meaning or personal validation or depth. -or any resolution necessary, or to be expected, prior to discharge. but there is information, and a place to 'be'. come prepared to advocate for yourself. note: my experiences were virtual, not in-person

Life was getting too hard and I was struggling to manage things on my own after a series of deaths and being in an unsafe environment. My healthcare team really urged me to do an Intensive Outpatient Program and we found Pathlight, the mood and anxiety side.

The admissions process was relatively painless. It took a long time - but I was set up with an admissions coordinator who got back with me same day with answers to any questions or concerns I had. I also found the billing department to be understanding, compassionate, and deeply helpful. I had the contact saved under ā€œNice Billing Manā€ ha-ha.

The program itself is hands down ā€œyou get out what you put inā€. There’s no magic recipe for feeling better. There’s no button to push that makes everything get easier. I showed up every day and tried my hardest - and I am so much better off because of it.

A lot of the information presented is paired with scientific explanations on what and why it happens. I learned a lot about the physiological aspects that accompany mental health issues that really allowed me to approach new ways of coping. I thought it was a nice balance of like heartfelt feely kind of emotion stuff as well as hard data to back up their points.

While there were some things I disliked - I don’t think it’s worth writing here. You’re reading these reviews for a reason. The bottom line is : these people care. If you need someone to help, and you need someone to care, I recommend Pathlight

The ERC support group for supporting an adult loved on has been a lifesaver for me. I desperately need to find people who could understand what I was going through and offer support when needed. I have been attending for almost 2 years and I gain something with each meeting that I attend. The resources are invaluable and the coordinator is awesome. I no longer feel alone while trying to help my loved one.
