To whom it may concern,

My uncle has been living at Easy K Ranch for many years and our whole family is so grateful. My uncle is very difficult and the staff at Easy K has always treated him with incredible respect, compassion and dignity. The reason why I am writing this review is due to the negative review published by someone who had a family member there for a very short amount of time.

Our 26 yr old daughter Lauren has lived at Easy K Ranch since Feb. 2017. She has autism/ADHD and a degree of mental retardation. Before she lived at Easy K. she lived at a much larger, and much more expensive, facility in Kentucky with almost 400 other residents. Our family can attest that Easy K is an excellent, well run residential home for persons with mental disabilities. Lauren is much happier in the smaller, more personal home-oriented environment. The staff is excellent and very caring to all residents. I highly recommend Easy K Ranch for families searching for a residential home for their loved one(s) with mental disabilities.

My brother has resided at Easy K for most of his life. The love and care that surrounds him on a daily basis is admirable. My entire family is so grateful for Easy K and the comfort we have knowing he is loved and respected. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty for the residents. Thank you Easy K.

My wife's sister has been a resident at EASy K for decades and I have been there several times. Amazing place that has helped several young people live to a ripe old age (my sister-in-law is in her 60's) with an excellent quality of life. Yes, it is off the beaten path, but the staff is dedicated and caring and we don't feel we could ask for better.

I would strongly advise not placing your loved one here if they have autism. I placed my brother here. I made sure the director was made aware he had autism they claimed “ they knew how to handle different behaviors the day we moved my brother up there. Got him settled in and left We was more then 3 hours away from the ranch when we received a phone call. From the ranch stating that my brother threatened suicide and we had to come get him and they they wasn’t staffed to handle him. Then the director texted my wife and claimed on the application.didn’t check he was a danger to himself or others. At the time of the application he wasn’t a danger to himself or others. People with autism normally don’t present a danger to them self’s or others unless provoked and they are trying to get away from whatever is causing issues We explained to the other party on the phone it was 6pm and we had been up since 3am and had already drove 300 plus miles we was exhausted. She stated “I’m sorry he has to go tonight” instead of them calling an ambulance and having him transported to a nearby hospital for an evaluation and a 72 hour hold placed on him. They waited on us to come get him. This place is located 2.5 miles down a very very pot-filled rough gravel road.
