I would like to tell everyone how I was treated today by the rude old lady that works there....
First of all, she must own that place. Can’t imagine her being on the payroll. Every single time I go there, I try my best to stay away from her.
BUT TODAY, SHE CROSSED THE LINE!
While inside I was told (not asked) not to leave the freezer door open by her. Right before me was another employee and customer that stood there longer than I did and was told nothing.
Then, while I was going through the Christmas stuff there, I heard the very friendly gentleman employee ask the same customer as before if he wanted some flour. He denied. After I was done with the Christmas pile I asked that employee if I could get some flour. Without any time for the gentleman to answer, the rude female employee started (almost yelling) to inform me that the flour was for emergency food only. So I then requested emergency food. She continued in her rude manner to scold me about if I had any food in my house I was not getting the emergency flour! WHAT? I told her that thanks to the food I had in the bags, I now did have food. The gentleman employee then said something quietly to her. She then asked me how much flour did I want? I said none now. SHE SAID, GOOD, NO SWEAT OFF MY BACK!!!!!
So to Eastern plains food pantry,,,,,, I ask you, is this really an employee worth keeping. She obviously does not want to be there, so why is she?
To the very rude old female employee,,,, I am asking you to wipe that chip off your shoulder and BACK OFF!

Please folks, don’t let that rude old woman chase you off. She just wants all the food for herself! I know for a fact that they throw unwanted food away there all the time!

This pantry helps with emergency food and commodities. The ONLY food bank I know that GIVES people in need clothing free of charge. They accept donations anytime when open just ask to not be left outside. They also have emergency community help with electric bills and applying for assistance. Local help the holidays. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The people that run this are kind and caring. We love this place.

Great place to go if your in a bind for food for your family. Everyone is very sweet. I love the variety of foods they can provide. Sometimes even pet food. If they don't have pet food, they will offer information as to where you can. This pantry has lots of clothing as well as dishes.
