I love volunteering and donating to Dream Centers. Dream Centers is focused on helping single moms and their children rebuild their lives by providing safe environments and resources including health care. Dream Center’s mission is simply amazing, helping end poverty, and a life on the streets, restoring self-confidence, letting them know they are loved and setting them up for success is at the forefront of their hearts. I encourage you to get involved however you can and join the team in making a difference in our community and the lives of so many women and children.

Dream Centers is a fantastic organization which uses every dollar to help the most vulnerable population in our city--women and children. They provide medical, emotional, financial, physical, and emotional assistance to hundreds of women who would not be otherwise cared for. It has been a great honor to be able to volunteer there for the past three years; I can't think of a better use of my time or money.

The heart of dream centers is absolutely amazing. Addressing the needs in our cities is such a big undertaking—but with organizations like this everyone has an opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than themselves for the sake of their city. If you have a heart for it, definitely look to get involved!

Also when they would encourage me to speak for myself, I would and the whole community would hear about it even my Therapist would sometimes tell me “I heard” and don’t even get me started on therapists, I was very close with one Therapist I had many sessions with and out of nowhere I’m hit with by my FA that I had one more session with her and I’m getting a new therapist. She told me the day before my session that that one would be my last. And another thing is that, I’ve reached out to check on others just to encourage them and see how they’re doing, to which I don’t get much response. I know some of the Moms reached out telling me they didn’t at all agree with how they had me leave, and they were having the wrong one leave, which meant a lot yes, but I’m absolutely hurt. Since I’ve left no one has really reached out and checked up on me, and the reason I say this is due to me truly loving the friendships I made there. I cherished them, and put so much effort and soul into every friendship that I had, with high respect. Upon leaving it’s like nothing, like I never existed. Like I’m the friendships I made didn’t even matter. Even the FA I truly grew to love her and then after a while, it was hard for me to trust her and I am fully aware it was the other way around too, however I owned up completely. This place has crushed my spirit truly in ways they’ll never be able to comprehend. If I’m recommending this place, it’s because the volunteers are what makes this place such a blessing. They are what makes this place feel like a home. I want to add more stars, I truly do however you ended up putting a Mother who cherished this place through quite a bit of additional trauma.

To the Volunteers- truly I appreciate you guys and cherish every bit of time I had with you all. I learned so much and am continuing to practice all the knockledge I was able to learn and adapt to because of you guys. And I miss y’all so so so much! I will continue to pray for the new moms coming into the program that they get to soak up just as much as I had the honor of doing. 💙
