I'd give ZERO stars if I could! This organization was court ordered to give my son services and assigned him an advocate. This advocate has shared my son's personal and classified information with the previous foster family even though my son had left that home for months already. I find it inappropriate that this organization has workers that disrespect the Privacy policy and procedures that are in place to protect my son's rights!

They don't tell you until after orientation that you need to have a driver's license to volunteer. It doesn't matter if you have a valid identification card, a spotless record, vehicle, car insurance, and someone to drive you. This effectively bars disabled people from being able to be a volunteer advocate...

Their website says "Volunteer diversity allows us to recognize and respond to the needs of individual children and to offer informed, culturally competent advocacy," listing "a special need for Black, bilingual Spanish-speaking and male volunteers."

I am two of those things.

Too bad I'm physically disabled I guess... That's the wrong type of diversity. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Great people and very helpful. For my class I found CASA the best option for me to do my paper on. It was great.

I thought I was a "volunteer" until I found out otherwise. Apparently I was kicked to the curb back in November 2023 without so much as a reason, let alone a notification. An organization that can so easily dismiss their "valued volunteers" is one that I am very glad to not be involved with. The sad part is they'll probably hit me up for money. Don't waste your time, CASA, you won't find a single penny here. As to those looking for a worthy cause to volunteer their time, this isn't it. They'll probably consider you unworthy anyway.

Volunteering with Dallas CASA has taught me so much about the child welfare system and has helped me meet so many wonderful people. There is a reason advocates remain advocates for several years - they see a difference in children's lives. I love hearing advocate testimonies. There are many different ways to get involved and directly or indirectly change a child's life for the better! To change the world, you have to start with our future generation and CASA gives these kids a chance to be happy, loved, and have every opportunity for success in the future!
