I lived in Dale House in 1979-1981 roughly. My housemates and counselors shaped my adolescence which came complete with child abuse, neglect, wild behavior etc. But I was determined and blessed. I recently retired from a 33 year career as a 911 dispatcher. Being empathetic and having street smarts served me well. I'm now a Nana of 5 from 2 grown, beautiful daughters.
Thank you Dale House, the counselors and God for helping me become who I am today.

Its been 33 years since I lived at the Dale House. I came there after graduating high school at sixteen, emancipating at 17. I spent most of that year living in the independent living side. George Sr. was still hosting Sunday night church at his home and George Jr. Lead the charge the rest of the time. (There were times, Jim would show up at either Sunday or Weds night family time...to prove he could NOT sing...as much as his mom told us, he could. HaHa!) I've spoke fondly of the Dale House over the years, referred others to the house, and sought wise counsel at times from George Jr years after leaving. It gave me hope. The DHP gave a fighting chance for a successful start to life. I don't know where I'd be if not for the DHP. I now work for a California C.A.S.A. Program, recruiting and training volunteers to Advocate and mentor youth in foster care. I love what I do and showing others- kids are not bad kids because they're in foster care. They're simply been put in a bad life circumstance - leading to foster care, many not by their own doing. Youth at the DHP have the greatest hope available through the staff, compassion, and genuine love for these kids. Great job DALE HOUSE for continuing the tradition of hope started by George Sr and his wife...followed by George Jr and his wife! I was blessed to have found my way to the Dale house. I was blessed by the love the staff gave.

Great moral support from the day staff to the director. The Dale House has provided me with the skills to succeed in the work zone and made my dream of a four year college a reality.

For the first time in my life I saw the true love of christ and it was at Dale house. I've become a Christian because what these people planted in my heart for the Lord while a resident at Dale house. Thanks yall.

George is very rude and disrespectful was in the program in 2007 and he pushed me into a wall over a disagreement, he claims to be religous but the way he acts and his values dont seem to be in line with any christain views i have ever heard of, the staff are very much in your buisness

This home helped me to get on my feet, extremely friendly staff and residents, good food, positive atmosphere, motivational teachings, spiritual connections, excellent place to live and work, I lived here, love this place.
