Our first visit was luke warm at best. Kenna was a great server, super friendly and informative. The chicken fried steak was over cooked and chewy the over medium/hard eggs were supposed to be over easy and the toast was a crouton with cold butter on it. Kenna was able to get me new toast. The tots & the gravy were excellent though. The breakfast poutine was just tots and gravy with shredded cheese my wife thought it was alright. My daughter enjoyed her burger. The bottomless mimosas were tasty and there was a decent selection. The food was not great this visit. Better luck next time

On Saturday, 11/23 from 2:30-3:30 (3:26 check out)
Food was good but what the heck happened to the customer service aspect of this place? To no napkins while eating, to the lone waitress serving 8 people while 3 other people stand at the bar doing nothing but chatting with regulars, to the lone server putting food out while the other 3 stand and enjoy the bars atmosphere. Just found this trip a disappointment. Mac and cheese was grainy. The burger, asked for grilled onions no tomatoes, guess what I received, raw onions and tomatoes. Where was the Bleu cheese on the dad burger? Had to look over and ask myself did I make the right decision? Bad sprite, asked for a substitute and was almost charged for the lemonade. Total lack of customer service, robbed of the experience of what this place used to be. Brought my son, there are others places to enjoy a cup of Mac and cheese along with French fries without it being extra. Bless the two who at least put forth an effort but I'll pass on coming here again. To you, young man taking out the trash AND serving food, you're the real MVP.

Dads Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento area. They have amazing food, friendly staff members, and a great atmosphere. My favorite dish here is Dads Burger. It is seriously the best burger I have ever had! I recommend trying the onion rings to. They are big and taste amazing! They have a good selection of beers on tap as well. Justin and Noah were my bartenders my last night and they were both excellent. I definitely make it a point to come here every time I am in Sacramento. You will not be disappointed.

I went at night so it was quiet there plenty of seating available for my party. The staff were all friendly and helpful in explaining questions we had.

The food was all made well with nice serving sizes, definitely need to share the appetizers with a person. They were all tasty and would like to go back and try more.

Was searching for a spot to eat after church and chose this location. When I walked in it was unclear if I was to seat myself or wait. Once I found someone working and asked to place an order to go, they got me a menu which was nice, but they seemed preoccupied with filling napkins than assisting me. The person did tell me about the menu in that everything could be substituted. I order 2 items and was not very pleased with either of them. The monte cristo made from french toast, which seemed like a nice touch, was undercooked. The burger, which I requested grilled onions which were not grilled at all. I've never had crunchier grilled onions than these.

Although I normally give a place a 2nd chance, messing up on both orders is just too much. I would not return nor recommend this place. Not for the food. If you want to watch sports, it seems like a nice local bar to do that. The bartender seemed cool, even if he is a Bills fan (lol).

Before i say anything else, order the cheese curds. The friendly staff was on point and a shout out to our waitress Courtney who seamlessly moved from table to table taking orders and actually taking the time to interact with patrons. We ordered the fish & chips (delicious tarter btw) and the meat loaf with mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts( i think we would opt for a side green salad or steamed veggies next time just because everything was so flavorful)
We are excited to come try their brunch!

The corn ribs and wings were the bomb. Our waitress was great and the place was fun. The Hulk burger was NOT a Hulk at all but we've eaten at the other locations and I know that their burgers are usually the bomb.

Tyler was our server and he was phenomenal. We had a large party with people arriving and ordering at different times, and Tyler managed everything seamlessly. He was friendly and patient. We know we’ll get good service if we have Tyler again next time we come back to Dad’s.
