Great church! When your biggest complaint is that there isn't enough parking due to excessive attendance, you know something special is happening within its doors.

An amazing church. Pastors and Leaders of this church are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. The teaching of the Bible is great and everything that is taught in this church is from the Word of God/Scripture. This church has helped our family to grow and to have a better relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There are also various activities and teachings for children to have a better understanding of Jesus Christ and how they can also serve the Lord.

Having moved around so much over the years, we're used to having to find a new church each place we live, and we've found some amazing ones around the country, but this was NOT one of them. We would absolutely NEVER go back to this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When we first moved here a few months back, this was the first church we attended. The first time we went it seemed decent, so we went a few more times, but it went downhill very quickly. There was extensive talk about a building project that was running years behind schedule and whose building cost had had an exorbitant increase over the years, and there were begging and guilting tactics being used to try to get everyone in the congregation to donate more than they were already, and as much as they possibly could. While we could understand and feel for the predicament to some extent, it was severely uncomfortable to feel guilted to give, especially as new congregants trying to see if this would even be our home church, and to have so much of the sermon time dedicated to talking about the project rather than learning from the Bible. There would also be times when the pastor would say things like, "Well, I don't know about you, but I believe this is true. If -YOU- believe this is true, I want you to stand up and say so to your neighbor," or, "If you believe this, I want you to stand up and repeat after me." As very introverted people, and people who were brand new to the place, that was a little weird and super uncomfortable. We chose not to take part because we knew deep down what we believed and didn't feel the need to stand up and tell someone else or repeat anything, and the people around us -glared- at us for remaining seated while they all stood and repeated what was said. This showed us that the congregation wasn't going to be understanding of or welcoming to anyone who thought even a little differently than they or the person on stage did, and about something as trivial as standing up and repeating words for 5 seconds! What if we'd been nonbelievers seeking answers or open arms, who were unsure if they believed what was said and chose to remain seated for that reason, and had been treated like that? We would've been heartbroken and 100% heading for the door. The "worship" time also had a lot of I/me/my focus, so...not really worship time. We went home every week feeling negative, like we'd learned very little biblically, like we hadn't really worshipped God, like we were black sheep for having a small difference of opinion, and like our money and strict adherence to this place's ways were all that mattered to this church. Maybe the time period we went wasn't "normal" because of the financial predicament, but it definitely showed us this place's true colors. If we would've been nonbelievers, new believers, or just believers who hadn't been to a church in years and were going back for the first time, we would've left this place with a HORRIBLE taste in our mouths for churches and Christianity in general. This isn't how a church should be.

My son was newly stationed at Ft. Carson early in 2019, and after attending his first service at Cross Creek Church, he KNEW without a doubt that he had found his new church home! When I visited him in Colorado, I quickly learned why he loved it so much! Such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where you are encouraged to “come as you are” and where you can learn more about the Bible and form solid lifelong relationships with others! I highly encourage you to check them out!
