The service on arrival was awful. The hotel is very deteriorated. The rooms are old and wear down. The elevator is not working, and no one seems to care. I have very bad knees and they didn't care to put me on the first floor. They sent me to the 3rd floor! My coworker's room key didn't work and he had to go up and down the stairs 4 times until they finally changed his room to a bigger room on the first floor! So, they did have rooms available on the first floor!!! Either way, after 20 minutes they called him back and asked him to get back to his original room since they figured out the problem with the door. After he had unpacked already. By the way, all this happened after 10 pm when we arrived to check in. This is by far the worst Marriott that I have ever stayed in. Just so you know, we're Marriott Gold members, so reward status won't help at all to get a better service.

This hotel needs an update, and it looks like they’re trying to make that happen. The elevator was down, so that was an inconvenience. The exterior door closest to the stairwell convenient to our room didn’t have a functioning card reader.
However, the staff was incredible. Everyone we encountered was friendly and working hard to keep the place running. I admire them, especially the housekeeping staff who were running supplies up and down the stairs since the elevator issues didn’t allow them to bring their carts to different floors. The employees deserve a more functional work environment.

Positive: Location was great for why I was visiting. Negative: There was an active hornets nest on our balcony, and we had no hot water in our shower. Let the front desk know about it, and they knew of the problem, but "thought it had been fixed"

My husband and I booked this hotel for a business trip he was on. We were a little skeptical after reading the reviews but we are so glad we kept our reservation anyways. Room was bigger than we expected. Beds weren't bad for hotel beds but definitely loved the pillows. Hotel smelled good and the housekeepers were working all day to ensure all the rooms were clean. Every employee we came in contact with the whole week were very friendly and immediately took care of any requests. Pool was great. Cleaned every day with a person swimming and a pool Roomba. They have a nice bistro inside with Starbucks coffee and the man who made our coffee every night remembered us and our order every time. There are balconies/patios for every room and it was great to be able to sit out and watch the rain or look at the lit pool every night. So glad we made this our little home for the week.

I had to pay in advance. So when I arrived they told me there was no Hot Water , so no Bar access and No Breakfast would be served . But they still charged me full price . ( I recieved no e-mail btw ) … there were no snacks to purchase in the store area , shelves were all empty . Hotel was out dated & smelled moldy , the night shift staff was in basketball clothes & asked me to buy him a Gatorade … don’t stay here , Huntsville has way nicer places for honestly probaly cheaper

DO NOT STAY at this hotel, security issues. I was in my room at 1:00 am, and another guest opened my door with a key. The front desk had erroneously assigned the room to another guests. In addition, the shower spigot didn’t work and I had to change rooms in the morning at 6:30. The GM didn’t even bother to contact me or provide me any compensation. Rooms are very run down and appears not much maintenance. One redeeming quality is the front desk people were very courteous.

Our stay at this Marriott property was very disappointing. The hotel is very dated and in need of an update and major cleaning. Our room had a bad smell which I think was either the carpeting or the sofa bed. The sofa bed itself was dirty and worn. The Wi Fi would not connect and we had no hot water in the morning.
It was also difficult to see the property from the street as it’s tucked behind other businesses with poor signage.
Overall this was not a good experience

Im 42 years old and I travel frequently and this has been the worst hotel experience in my life. ** I will say this was booked through Priceline Express, so I did not purposely book this hotel. I did put in parameters: 3 stars +, near city center with an outdoor pool.
Problems started at checking when the front desk attendant said that my reservation had not be paid for by Priceline. I took an hour to get that resolved. I was assigned a room on the second floor. Both elevators were out of service. My travel companion has physical limitations and can not do stairs...especially stairs with luggage. I asked for a room on the first floor and I was told there was only one room with a king size bed and I reserved a room with two queens. I told the front desk host that I needed an ADA accessible room and she said that it wasn't notated in the reservations. But it wasn't notated that the elevators were out of service either. Getting to the room it's actually more important than the accommodations in the room. After a back and forth between Priceline and the hotel we were a room with a king size bed and a pullout. The host allowed me to view the room and I asked multiple time if there was linen for the pull-out bed and I was assured there was linen in the room. After getting in the room I realized that there was no linen, so I went back to the front desk to ask for some. I was given a fitted sheet and two top sheets no blanket. When I asked for a blanket a different host asked me why I needed a blanket since it was hot outside. If I had been given a room with 2 queen bed like I requested both beds would have had a blanket. But he had the audacity to ask why I needed one.
The number one requirement I had at the hotel, is that it have an outdoor pool. I got dressed for the pool only to find the gate locked. I called the front desk and they said the pool opens tomorrow (Merorial Day)but that was not reflected on the website and I never would have chosen this hotel if I had known that the pool was not open. They said I could utilize the pool tomorrow but my check out is at 12 and they do not know what time tomorrow the pool will even open.
I have travelled all over the US and other countries and never had rhis much trouble with a hotel reservation.
