We are deeply disappointed and disheartened by our experience with Council on Aging fiduciary services. It is with a heavy heart that we share our troubling ordeal, in hopes that others may be spared from similar distress.

Council on Aging has grossly mishandled the management of our beloved grandmother's estate. Instead of honoring their fiduciary duty, they have prolonged the distribution of funds, seemingly to accrue additional fees at the expense of the beneficiaries. This blatant exploitation is not only unethical but has caused significant emotional and financial strain on our family.

The company's lack of professionalism is glaringly evident. Throughout the process, communication was sporadic and insufficient. Inquiries were often met with vague responses, if any at all, and we were left in the dark regarding critical updates. This level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable, especially given the sensitive nature of estate management.

Moreover, the promised funds, which were intended to support our family during a difficult time, were withheld for an unjustifiably prolonged period. This delay has not only deprived us of financial support but has also eroded our trust in the fiduciary system. Our grandmother entrusted Council on Aging to act in our best interests, and they have unequivocally failed to do so.

In conclusion, Council on Aging has demonstrated a severe lack of integrity and professionalism. Their actions have caused significant distress, and we are deeply upset by their handling of our grandmother's estate. We urge others to exercise caution and consider alternative fiduciary services to avoid the heartbreak and frustration we have endured.

Council on aging, misappropriated funds that were left to my disabled husband. Waited for years for them to release final Check and most of it went to their fees and lawyer Norton & Ingersoll group. Was told to send release for them to speed the process, and to stop occurring fees but they lied. They find a way to hold onto your money and drum up fees.

First and for most this company is suppose to be a non profit organization and in our case with our grand mother who passed away the funds are not adding up . It’s shameful how it’s painted to be one thing and end up with a whole different number after everything is said and done . Terrible communication , slick , sneaky bussiness . Not someone you want to use for your elder loved ones who hope to leave something to their living children because this company is going to take it all . Zero stars . DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I agree with Lorelei's review below and same bad review goes for Zachary Carroll, Esq ~ he is there only for his benefit to make money on Estate Planning, Living Trusts - the previous women attorneys were so much better than him - be careful w/ him he'll get you if you are not careful!

I am grateful for this organization. They provide affordable meals for the elderly. A woman brought my grandmother flowers the day before her birthday along with her meal. The program is vital.
