Horrible, I called to see if I could apply for cal fresh without id and was told I could. Did the application over the phone with the lady. Told me to come back in 3 days for mail. Whole week goes by no mail only call the worker.
Following week they tell me I was supposed to fill out paperwork. Did that come back the following week and now it's call the worker again. The worker never answers, that's including the phone in the off that are direct lines.

My name is marc Burton i'm currently in vale rehabilitation nursing facility In sam pablo california. There is one social worker named Cece and has 2 assistance. And they do absolutely nothing. I've heard of the reputation but now I've discovered that when it came to me they have done nothing. I've done everything and they have no resourcesn o repor with anybody in the community And cannot find me low income housing coming out of a nursing facility. It reminds me of when you see wheelchairs and homeless and catmix because of people like this. I call for an audit or at least an investigation of what they're doing. Because they're not doing nothing but taking contracos county's money and doing the bear minimum.

If I could I give it NO STAR review. This has to be one of the worst welfare offices I’ve had to deal with within California. No workers and my worker personally never returns or answers calls. The hours their voicemail states is inaccurate because no worker is ever available smh! They need this entire office replaced with staff that are actually about their job and helping families and individuals with what they need. It’s really sad that they have a handful of staff who lack compassion and consideration for people situation at hand that need benefits etc. No one who’s homeless or in need of help should have to wait MONTHS for their benefits or notify/communicate on what’s going on with their resources/benefits from ANY CASE WORKER or STAFF.

Terrible service!!! They claim they are not able to pay for child care because of a "new system" we have been waiting since January for our child care provider to be paid. There is no sense of urgency. For the past month the works have been saying they are "not allowed to input new child care providers or pay for anything" because of a "new system" it's 2023... Theres no reason it should take them 2 whole months to get things together and pay childcare providers.

I get directed here promised social services that would help with the disabilities daycare center in Pinole known as Pathway to Choices. They did NOTHING except tell me to just go to Pathway to Choices even though I made waking effort to explain the problems with that simple "solution." I do not appreciate the false advertising. Oh, and by the way, nice touch with the homeless right outside making his bed on part of the building. I really praise a government that is failing so blatantly to address the poverty issue so badly by mangling interaction with the less fortunate.
