When we joined Congregation Or Ami seven years ago, we finally opened the door to our spiritual home. The warmth and inclusivity that the clergy and staff lead with is a true source of inspiration. The welcoming sense of community and security is constant. The opportunities to be involved are endless. The emphasis on giving back to the community (and beyond) is heartening. The clergy and staff’s drive to help our children and young adults thrive, learn and lead, while connecting to their Jewish values, is brilliant; and it extends far beyond their incredible classroom programs. The personal support from the clergy is priceless. COA is a place where everyone is always welcome. We are truly grateful and proud to be members.

I loved this synagogue. The cantor is one of the best & the rabbi is very engaging. I went there to celebrate my nephew’s bar-mitzvah and I never enjoyed temple so much. I would go here if I lived in LA! The only downside is the building is in an office center, which is different. But the congregation is fantastic.

This congregation is made up half of old, sweet fellow Jews and the other half are more worried about what they're driving and "who is who." I went on a Friday, for Shabbat, and WOW! Additionally, the rabbi, Paul Kipnes, TOTALLY INSINCERE!!!!!!!! I looked right through his fake smile and he definitely has arrogance written all over him. Awful. I also met a couple, I cannot remember the husband's name but the wife, apparently from what one of the congregationer's told me, she was an assistant DA for Los Angeles. This woman could not be more self-centered. When I tried to engage her in conversation, it was as if I was not even there. The husband had a bit more of a personality.

In closing, I would never recommend this congregation to anyone. It's plastic and the worst one I have ever set foot in (good thing that I had the right vehicle to pull up in or I believe that I would not have been admitted at all)!

Definitely on the NO RECOMMEND list.

What is the worst part about this is that I recently moved to the area, and my neighbor's, in North Ranch, are not stuck up or conceited at all. This supposed "temple" is full of the "better than you" types starting right from the top.

I have found my new temple and could not be happier. I needed to post this as this congregation needs to shut down. Not good for the Jewish faith.
