This location is the best to me personally. The staff is friendly and welcoming. However, my husband has not had the same experiences as I have had. We saw Dr. Chiang. She was friendly and very responsive. The process is long and tiring. The accounting team has to be micromanaged which was the hardest part to handle. We had to double check to make sure that there was transparency and everything was ran through insurance. Once we got pregnant, our OB appointments were a bit odd such as to being able to see the ultrasound or hear the heart beat, but got photos at the end.

Do not go here. My husband and I regret the 2 years we spent at Conceptions (2022-2024). We saw red flags from the very beginning but looked past them because we wanted answers. The two doctors we had were both terrible to work with, the billing department is a nightmare, and I was in a constant state of needing to advocate for myself or mistakes would be made.
GENERAL CARE: The clinic made so many mistakes and missteps in my care, some of which delayed our timeline. I once was given the wrong prescription and was on the pill for 3 days before a nurse called to tell me about their error. There was no apology, it was made to be a casual no problem ordeal. The clinic ordered incorrect labs and often forgot to call me to start medications, which always left me doubting the care I was receiving. By the end of 2024, I lost all confidence in this clinic.
BILLING: This department feels like it’s designed to confuse and frustrate patients. You will only receive bills in the mail, and you can only pay them over the phone- good luck getting someone to answer. When we had our IVF consultation, we were not told about how billing works. The first time I heard from the billing department, I was sent a portal message with a $8,000 bill that said it was due that day. What’s crazy about it aside from the obvious is that I had not heard anything from my medical team, so I was receiving a bill for care that wasn’t even planned yet. The whole clinic feels like its main priority is money, not caring for patients walking a very traumatic and difficult road.
DOCTORS: Our first meeting with Dr. O in 2022 was terrible. It was evident she was reading our medical information for the first time in the appointment and was not prepared. Without talking about any treatment plans she asked us about getting a very expensive genetic test done and when I expressed hesitation, she bluntly asked us why in a very accusatory tone. It felt like a ā€œgotcha momentā€. I could go on with a lot more detail, but to put it plainly, I found Dr. O to lack empathy and consideration.
When we decided to move away from IUI and pursue IVF, we requested to switch to Dr. Greene. Our first meeting with him felt like a better fit. He thanked us for giving Conceptions another chance and said to let him know if we had any concerns. We finally thought we were on a better path until we ran into some of the issues I covered above. I decided to message Dr. Greene our concerns in detail and stated we want to move forward but expect more attention to detail in our care. Instead of being reassured, Dr. Greene replied by saying ā€œmost of our patients find the level of organization / support to be appropriate.ā€ He even went on to say they track the Net Promoter Score (whatever that is) because they want to satisfy their patients.
His response was our last straw. Dr. Greene’s response completely invalidated our experience and tells us we should accept mistakes and missteps in this emotional, expensive, and detailed process. All we wanted was a simple apology for the errors and a promise to do better and he couldn’t. It feels like our first meeting with him was all a faƧade.
For two years I thought the care we were receiving from Conceptions was unfortunately normal and we just needed to roll with the punches, but that has been proven wrong repeatedly at our new clinic. We are now at a clinic in northern Colorado and are blown away by the care we are receiving. Our new doctor is passionate about his work and has made us feel excited again. We feel like he is in our corner and wants this to work.
Leaving Conceptions was the best decision. I will never recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr. Greene and the providers are wonderful! Would gladly recommend Dr. Greene and his medical team. Billing staff is terrible. There were numerous billing issues with our care that required multiple follow ups to be corrected or to point out that they made errors in billing our insurance and to request refunds for erroneous charges.

I had good results but treatment on a personal level has been very disappointing. I did two egg retrievals and I was only able to meet with my doctor one time. If you want to speak with your doctor after your procedure, I recommend trying to schedule that no later than when your prescriptions are written. Dr. Greene is booked out 3-6 weeks in my experience. I’m not sure why they take on new patients if they don’t actually have the time for them.

The nurses are hit or miss. One of them, I think her name was Katie, was literally yelling at me over the phone that she was right when I had simple questions about the information I received that day. She kept interrupting me and only after crying to her to please let me finish my question did she finally let me complete my sentence. She still did not answer me, I think maybe she thought my question was rhetorical or something?I was genuinely confused and scared and it was really tough. Thankfully one of the other nurses intercepted and kindly answered my questions eventually. Alex is also very rude. Don’t hesitate to request a new nurse. You are going through a lot and paying a lot of money.. you should get decent care.

Notes from my first procedure were wrong, and I am still waiting to hear back from the person who is supposed to call me about them. Total egg count retrieved was wrong (confirmed IT issue) and care received was wrong (still waiting to hear back on this one). It makes me nervous about what else in my notes could be wrong, that I’m not aware of. I haven’t been able to discuss my second cycle with a doctor yet, not sure I’ll get the chance this year… and I hit my MOOP so if I can’t get in this year, I’ll probably just cut my losses.

Night of my first trigger I received incorrect written instructions and wasn’t given comprehensive verbal instructions. I also wasn’t given a specific dosing requirement that I could find, I have a chemical lab background.. I could’ve figured out the mixing I needed if my notes had told me. I tried calling the after hours hotline twice, and don’t get a call back until after well over 40 minutes… I just had to do my best to trigger (I ended up doing it right, thankfully) because it is time sensitive and I couldn’t get help. Turned out they were notifying the wrong nurse that night, but I heard from a friend the after hours line was routinely unreliable.

Positives… the sonographers are overall great. Especially Pam. Most of the phlebotomists are good too. Portal messages have pretty good response times. My results were good. And the data visibility in their portal is also really nice. I did have luck one time with the after hours nurse line.

Overall this clinic is capable, but I have started to feel like just a number to them. It could be worth interviewing multiple clinics if you are not limited by insurance networks. I will also be submitting my concerns to my insurance provider.

Every single person I’ve encountered at Conceptions has been incredible. I mainly visited the Lafayette clinic, but have been to nearly every clinic for various tests or procedures, and each clinic is great. Dr. Chiang is so knowledgeable and really took the time to explain each step of my care to me. I really appreciated how she never sugar coated anything, but still delivered information in a compassionate way. I truly felt like I was in great hands with her! The nurses I worked with the most were Alex and Jessica - both of them are incredibly helpful and thorough at explaining exactly what to expect in each step of the IVF process. I happened to have most of my ultrasounds with Gina, who is also great. She always made me feel at ease and has always been so kind. Truly, every person I’ve encountered has been phenomenal. While so excited to be able to ā€œgraduateā€ from Conceptions, my husband and I are so sad to leave the excellent care we have received here!

It was devastating to struggle with secondary infertility after losing our first daughter at 33 weeks. Dr. Greene came highly recommended and we were so grateful to have the opportunity to work with him. He was deeply understanding of our grief and complex emotions surrounding our loss and trying to conceive again. The entire staff was so kind and caring which meant the world to us after enduring birth trauma and anxiety in clinical settings. We always felt comfortable and supported. Bailey, who helped with our IUI, felt more like a friend than a nurse! We just welcomed our rainbow baby girl and owe so much appreciation to Conceptions for their role in helping us add to our family. Thank you!

I'm really not even sure how this place received so many decent reviews. We have been in/out of this clinic for two years and they have done nothing but misdiagnose which led to unnecessary and invasive surgeries. My insurance doesn't cover fertility treatments so I have always paid when I went in, but somehow months later you will get a random $800 bill. You will feel like just a number as you meet with the Dr typically once and then its radio silence. We switched clinics and realized just how awful this place is, especially when you have to request medical records six times and threaten an attorney to get involved just for them to send them. Not to mention they lose most of your medical records. Nothing special here, just a money game.

Writing this after ā€œgraduatingā€ IVF today and being transferred to my OBGYN for the remainder of my pregnancy. I have tears of joy because there were so many times I thought we would never get to this point. Infertility and IVF is so hard. Rearranging my work schedule to accommodate all the appts, dealing with insurance, all the injections - it wasn’t easy but so worth it in the end. Lafayette was my main office and they were so wonderful! We loved Dr. Chiang! Bailey did all of my IUI’s and was great! Really made an uncomfortable situation comfortable. Same goes for Pam and Gina and the many ultrasounds I had to do for IVF. My nurses Alex and Jessica were fantastic! I truly appreciated their communication and attention to detail, something that unfortunately my first nurse lacked, so I was thrilled when I was transferred to Alex. She made the process so much easier and I am so grateful to her.

My recommendation to all women starting IVF and what I felt made the biggest difference in my results -
1)Acupuncture! Start now before you start IVF and continue as long as you can through egg retrievals and up to transfer.
2) Get enough protein! Get at least 90g/day and start your day with at least 30g. After hitting my out of pocket max, I saw a nutritionist and had no idea I wasn’t getting enough protein. Collagen in my morning coffee helped a lot.
3) 1x 8-10oz cup of raspberry leaf tea in the morning. You can overdo it, so don’t drink too much. A cup of peppermint tea before bed is great for digestion.
4) Don’t rush into another retrieval cycle if your body/spirit is tired. Give yourself a month in between, if needed. Your body needs to heal to give you the best results. Protein helps your body heal! Jumping into another cycle when you’re not fully ready is tough on your body and your bank account.
5) Do whatever you have to do to manage stress and stay positive. Sometimes that looked like screaming and crying in my car about how grateful I was to have the opportunity to do IVF as a way to blow off steam when I was overwhelmed. Change the narrative to a positive one.

I had the best results after incorporating those things, so hopefully this helps some ladies not have to go through as many egg retrievals as I did. Good luck, future mamas!
