I love going here. Not because my family's struggling but because the people here are so kind and make you feel like you have dignity in needing help.I wish I could do something kind for all of this stuff!! Maybe I will Bake them some cookies with the supplies they provide !!

My mother in law and I decided to go in hopes to get some help with food. We showed up hours in advanced to make sure we would get numbers that were together. I was the first in line yet got the last number when they gave out numbers. My mother in law specifically called them to let them know we showed up hours in advanced to get numbers one after the other since she is in a wheelchair and I have to push her around. They gave us numbers that were 20 away from each other so she wasn’t able to go in since she had a doctors appointment. I tried staying so at least one of us could receive help but I was welcomed by the rudest people possible. I got yelled at for trying to take my mother in law back to her car and everyone had a terrible attitude. I would think that if an organization is there to try to support the community they would at least have people that care about the people showing up to receive help. It was such an unpleasant experience that I decided to get up and walk out after the 3rd person yelled at me for no reason. Receiving food that is mostly expired is not worth the stress an anxiety of getting treated poorly and getting yelled at so I was more than happy to walk out and leave them with the food they probably stocked with bad energy.

Saw a great story on Channel 7's website today about this place. Though it has been many years since I used their services, I was always treated kindly without judgement here. They saved me and my family a lot of times when our paychecks didn't stretch far enough. Sounds like they have had a huge increase in clients and needed to change their policies. Sad there is a lottery system now because of high rents and high grocery prices. Those people there volunteering are mostly retirees and probably have to put up with a lot of negative people who are trapped between a rock and a hard place. It's tough to live in Denver. That's why I left.

Be thankful for the food. Of course, but food banks have changed, whereas before most of the people inside cared. Most of the people these days do not and you need to be very intelligent when it comes to what you eat because half of it will get you sick and is past its date.

The Staff And Volunteers Are Friendly And Helpful! I Volunteered For 1 1/2 Year's At Arvada Community Table And Have Been A Client 35 Years! You Get So Many Choices Of Food To Pick From, You Do Actual Aisle Shopping! Fresh Fruit And Vegetables, Breads, Dairy, Sweets, Meat, Can And Dry Perishables, Cat And Dog Food, Personal Care Items, Etc.! Best Food Bank Ever!
