I am dealing with the passing of my mother and came across this place while searching for grief counseling. The staff was friendly the counselors were well spoken and seemed knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with my decision to go there. I was informed that At least 12 sessions would be provided free of charge. After the 12 sessions I would be referred to another agency that would incur charges. I felt very comfortable, and I enjoyed the services. The only reason I did not give them five stars was because parking was limited and inconvenient.

Community Grief Support was a wonderful source of strength and hope. I learned that I was not alone, my reactions and feelings were normal for the situation, and I picked up some effective coping skills. I felt better after every session. CGS is an invaluable resource for people who are grieving a loss. I will always be grateful for their presence in Birmingham.

Wonderful help with compassionate people during a very sad and difficult time after the untimely death of my daughter. Have continued to attend seminars and met with counselors on a regular basis. I thank God every day for Commumity Grief Group.

how bout i told these guys one of they crazy patients threatened to kill their bf and thinks animals are demonic and they didn't do anything except breach doctor patient confidentiality? if you just call with the patient's name they'll literally give you their appt history and dr's name, but won't 51/50 when you tell them they're an active threat experiencing psychosis.

Only one counselor available in the office.... Provides a very scripted approach.... Made inappropriate comments.... Just a non profit that looks good on the outside and takes peoples' money....go elsewhere for quality grief support ....even their grief groups end after 8 weeks so that's just another loss participants have to adjust to.
