Located next to the Globe Life Community Garden off of Throkmorton St in McKinney, the Community Garden Kitchen it's a very unique kitchen. The staff is very attentive and cordial, creating an atmosphere not easily found elsewhere. The Chef could easily be from a Michelin 5 start rated restaurant with a gift to prepare meals from whatever it might be available. They post a daily menu on their Facebook page so, people may know in advance what it's being served. They welcome everyone! 🤠
so, one can meet folks from very diverse social groups which I've always personally enjoyed, to stay in tune with the community.

This is the most amazing place, every person there is so very welcoming and the food is absolutely wonderful. Set in a restaurant type environment each person is served a basket of various breads, a homestyle handmade entree, a fresh vegetable and either a salad or fresh fruit plus a choice of a scrumptious dessert...all at absolutely no charge. There is no paperwork to fill out, no qualifying, anyone and everyone is welcome Mon-Thurs 6pm-8pm.

We maybe get to eat about once a week, because everyone wants to continue using tomatoes. We have continually brought this up with the director, as well as other staff, but they make no effort to ensure that we can eat as well. There have been times where we didn't get to eat for three or four weeks, because all they wanted to use is tomato. This is an airborne allergen, caused by the oils in tomato and no, it cannot just be removed. Think peanut status. Hoping to raise awareness, because a good majority of people are starving every day because of it. Tomato is a nightshade, which is technically not even supposed to be ingested, but our society has made it such a big thing that they're the reason people have become allergic to it. Ever since Angela took over as the chair director, this is become a major issue. At least when Brian was in charge, he made sure that we got to eat at least twice a week.

Friendly atmosphere & great food. No one judges you or makes you feel less than. It's a great place to eat dinner, especially if you have no money, because it is totally free. So don't go hungry, try it, you'll like it too.

Most disrespectful workers I've ever seen. I was minding my own business eating dinner and this woman walks up to a family that were eating and starts being rude to them about not eating everything. Telling them that they are being wasteful. Perhaps they have allergies or just didn't like the taste of it. Then turned to one of the kids that was wearing headphones and said 'Can he talk?" Is that any of her business? Perhaps they are deaf and this helps them, or Autistic? So this woman is insulting this child. That is so wrong on so many levels. This is the people that work there! Then I heard from another friend that was there tonight that they wouldn't let this woman and her kids come in to eat dinner. They never bother anyone, they are very well behaved and you turn them away? What's wrong with you people?

This place is awesome, it's been. Would recommend it to anyone The staff is super friendly. The church is very clean and every day they offer free dinner From t
Monday to thursday During the week from 6 PM to 8 PM. If you're hungry and you don't have the resources. Then you're welcome to go to this beautiful church. I've been asking no questions you walk in. You take a ticket, you sit down with your family. Your kids, your mom, your dad. And they serve you just like you're in a restaurant so wonderful wonderful. Blessing for a lot of people. I give it 10 stars.
