I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the owner of Community Care and Hospice Usha for the incredible difference she made during my dad’s final hours. She cared for him around the clock for 24 hours, ensuring he was comfortable and that we had everything we needed for him to pass peacefully. Despite the uncertainty of being paid due to Medicaid issues, she never hesitated to do what was right. All she cared about was making sure my Dad was okay. She went above and beyond by waking me up just moments before he passed, allowing me to be there with him. I will always be grateful for her compassion and dedication during such a difficult time. She is truly an angel on Earth and I cannot thank her enough.

This care program is the best we’ve ever dealt with. Usha has helped us multiple times, once with my father in 2015 and now with my mother. We needed immediate help and she was there for us and continues to help me through the process of caring and understanding what my mothers needs are. Usha is the most compassionate person I’ve ever met. She always responds to my phone calls even when it’s a mistake! She always makes me feel better after we talk. She takes the time I don’t think others would.
I can’t thank her enough for all that she has done and continues to do!

I can’t recommend Usha enough, my husband selected Usha for my mother-in-laws hospice care. Because of Usha’s knowledge and heart for people, my mother-in-law is doing well and no longer in hospice care. Usha requested a list of all med’s the hospital had her one before she was released. She was on a medication that had she been taken off cold turkey she would have died. Usha brought this to my husbands attention and said she would have to be weaned off it before she could come home. My husband became very fond of her knowledge and sincere concern for his mom. I ended up getting to know Usha while my mother-in-law was still in her care. She is one of the most amazing, brilliant, caring people I have ever met. I would without a doubt would want her to care for any one I loved. Even in the worst of situations, Ussha has a way of making the family feel comforted and calm. It’s not easy to do what she does, Usha was born for this career and she is a gift to everyone she takes. She has become family to us. We will forever be thankful for her!

My father recently passed away from cancer and for the last nine months, he was under the care of Community Care and Hospice. From the very beginning, Usha and her staff were completely dedicated to ensuring that my father’s last few months were pleasant and comfortable.

I want to thank everyone involved with my father from Community Care for making this time a lot easier for me. I was his sole guardian and I was afraid about his upcoming passing. But Usha educated me throughout and really made it much easier for me to handle what was happening to him.

On the father’s last day, Usha arrived immediately early that morning and stayed the entire time. She told me what exactly was going on and what to expect. She came, took charge and did her job phenomenally well. Usha was wonderful to him and he absolutely adored her.

Thank you to nurses Taylor and Steve, spiritual advisor, Ewon and a big hug to Alex. Alex would come and bathe dad regularly. She would play music on her phone while showering dad. She always made him look bright and shiny. Alex is under personal hardships but you would never know it when she was here. Always smiling and talking with dad. He loved her, and she’s wonderful.

I made the right choice with Community Care and Hospice. Thank you.

My mom was a patient of CC and Hospice recently. The staff and Chaplin were very responsive to our needs. Our calls were returned within 10 mins of calling and the director of nursing, Usha came to see our mom around 2 AM, because we thought she was getting very sick and wanted a medical personnel to evaluate her. I am very grateful to this company for their kindness, compassion and understanding at this difficult time that we’re going thru. Excellent company.

I am One of the daughters of the patient Cecily M is referring to in a prior review...my father has received impeccable care from Community Care Hospice...usha has been caring and compassionate..always supportive and puts our concerns at ease and my fathers needs are always addressed.
Other doctors prior to my father going into hospice all diagnosed my father the same as the hospice doctor
The hospice doctor has been thorough, compassionate..treats my father with dignity!!!!
Always available to answer our questions day or night...caring about us at such a confusing time....
I want to sincerely thank Usha for all that she does for us and our family.
To have a loved one in such caring hands is a gift especially in a time of need.....

If I could give more stars I would! This hospice has exceeded more then my expectations of a hospice care service. Usha and her team of nurses and caregivers were so professional, and extremely kind. Their compassion for my mother was more then you could ever ask for. And my mother who was dealing with massive mini strokes, actually knew that Alex (caregiver) and Mary (RN) were there to help her. I could see it in her eyes. I've been a caregiver for over 15 years. I have never seen a hospice this caring and loving before. Never!! They have a heart of gold when it comes to making their patients extremely comfortable. Let me tell you, they go above and beyond. When my mom came home from the hospital, she was bedridden. A few weeks before my mom was doing fine. No medications, just vitamins. 88 years young, and had no health conditions. She was amazing!! We would go walking at the harbor on a regular basis. So seeing my mother in a hospital bed in her bedroom was heart wrenching for me to see. The girls even tried to see (at my request) if my mom could ever walk again. They put her in a Hoyer Lift, and put her in a wheelchair. They were extremely careful, on top of giving her dignity. We could see that she was too weak to be out of bed at this point. But it was so sweet of them to pursue this for me. I was very thankful for their efforts. Usha and her staff were so very comforting for me and my mother. It felt like having a cozy warm blanket wrapped around both of us. The confidence and reassurance that this hospice gives you, is much much more then you would ever expect. In a Pandemic, these are NOT normal times. But with Usha's award winning staff, it never felt like we were dealing with a life threatening virus. The focus was always on my mother's care. The emotional stress can be very overwhelming for the family and the patient. Our hospice needs were always met at the highest level. My mother and I were both at ease the entire time they were here. I would highly recommend CC&H for your families hospice needs.
