Absolute run around for people in need. I was given a number to call for an appointment in December and have called every day over 20 times a day and yet to get a response for an appointment. When I call any number with a live person, I'm told I just have to keep calling the number and there's nothing they can do. Their own employees think this is a joke. What kind of assistance program is this?!

I gave them one star. They shouldn't get it me my boyfriend and daughter and her three kids need a place and I called them and I got put on hold for over two hours then got hung up on. U guys are supposed to help not be rude. People need help and u are their to help if not u guys need to hire someone that cares and will help people

You figure this is community action of Akron that they would have funds for different things but I called because I'm going back to school and needed help getting my transcripts and they didn't have funds for that, so basically they want you to call them when you need rent paid but they don't want to help you to get the career in a job to help pay that rent!!! Very discouraging

PSA....
Calling for a friend to the Crisis Hotline, which opens at 7am to 11pm daily (7 days a week) for assistance with utilities.... Why is it they're full & booked by 7:03am in EVERY zip code? Something ain't right! I've made more than 200 calls & checked 10 zip codes, by 7:18am. It ain't even me & it's enough to make you postal!! Wassup with this method? It don't work! Somebody on staff is manipulating this system. I tried calling before 7am & it doesn't take appointments before 7am(from public residents), So...... Explain, please, how this is happening? Staff Manipulation... Problem solved in my head!
