My experience on campus was flawless. I was invited by one of the counselor Mr. Samuel Robinson, for the “Unity day” that they had. his patience, communication, and attention to detail was like no other as a vendor he insured that we were aware of where we needed to be and what was going to take place everyone there was so helpful and hands on, I really appreciate them for reaching out and having such a warm welcome for all the vendors that were on site. Moving forward anytime they have an event I am pleased to join them without hesitation, it was a joy to net work with the students and the community that showed up and such a big way. Mr. Robertson stood out in a way that will forever be noted and shine a good light on the school. I appreciate the time, the opportunity and the networking that I was able to experience as a vendor. keep up the good work and thank you.

I really appreciated the love and support communities in schools has shown me throughout my time at lonestar kingwood and without the support of God, family, TRIO, and them I never would have made it to graduation! Mr. Sam was always there to help support me whenever I had on campus events to support the community. I think he did a great job when it came to giving students advice along with mentorship! The people with this organization really care and welcome you like family. Thank you Communities in Schools of Houston for overshadowing me with love and support!!

They are a much needed service that is separate from teachers and faculty. The students need that “safe” person outside the classroom & staff to talk to. Social workers take care of the needs teachers can’t such as clothing, food, personal hygiene items, etc.
