Billed $600 for an appointment I had well over a year ago! When I called to ask why no one could answer how this happened, why the bill came so late or what was being done about it. I was told "some one will look into it but we are not going to delay when the payment is due". Glad they have a year and a half to decide to bill me, but I have days to make good on my payment. I've called three times now and just get the run around each time. It feels like they're just running out the clock and hoping I'll just pay so my credit doesn't get dinged whey they ultimately decided to send this out to collections. Unreal!

Update: CommonSpirit claims I had a gap in coverage for one day where I happened to have the appointment. Calling my insurance company led to the real story, CommonSpirit filed the claim incorrectly which led to them being contractually obligated to field the balance and they responded by just trying to get me to pay!

Really though I don’t love hospitals, my experience at Mercy was great. From the successful surgery by Dr. Ryan Martyn to the kindness of ALL the dozens of nurses, PTs and other hospital workers, this place really outdid itself. Thank you to my most consistent nurses: Melissa from TLC, Liz and Liana❤️🙏🏼

My father-in-law has been seeing a specialist for his cancer at this hospital for two years. He-s been at a steady 8 and the doctor refused to do anything for him except wait and see if it would go down. When he finally spiked to a 10, the doctor still refused to get him any treatment. My father-in-law refused to get a second opinion because he trusted his doctor, and is now terrified because they will no longer see him with his Medicare since the hospital was bought. I refuse to say this about all of the doctors and nurses here, but I know of one that is watching people die. Thanks

I've had a string of medical emergencies these past weeks and have to say that I'm so impressed with every single staff member I've met here. From the ER staff to the OR staff, the labor and delivery nurses, the anesthesiologist and surgeons, and the Obgyns, the midwives, this place has really made a rough few weeks for a first time mom so much easier. Thank you Mercy team, I'm so grateful for each and every one of you for keeping me and my baby healthy.

Was so grateful for the team here that helped me after I had a hiking accident and split my head wide open! While this was the only emergency room in a few hours drive. They saw me right away and took great care of me during a crazy time. The doctors and especially the staff who helped clean my wound and get me ready for all the stitches and staples were so kind and calm, great sense of humor as well! So grateful for the precision of the doctor and and answering all of my questions. They gave me great advice for after care which was so appreciated. Even the woman at the front desk helped get me in right away and was so sweet with me. Thank you for helping me during a stressful time! I really appreciate you all!

Dr. Kimberlee Yeargin was as cold and rude as they come...

I had a mountain biking injury recently, and went to the Mercy ER and was admitted to the hospital for 3 days. I was floored by the wonderful experience I had at Mercy (despite my injuries) - every single nurse, doctor and hospital associate was so caring, helpful and attentive. While they were all very busy, everyone took the time to make sure I got the care I needed, and they were all so wonderfully cheerful along the way. Plus there were great vegetarian option for meals - the hospital food was great! And there's even a coffee shop on site (with lattes!) which was a great surprise! Thank you all SO much Mercy nurses, doctors and medical teams!! I would give you 10 stars if I could!

My husband had a heart attack while we were visiting in Pagosa Springs, and this hospital could not have been more responsive or helpful to us after being transported in ambulance from Pagosa. The care here was immediate and thorough, and the doctors, nurses, emergency ambulance drivers were so professional, caring and wonderful. He arrived and was whisked immediately into emergency stent surgery. The care we received over the 2.5 days there was top notch and heart felt. Special thanks to nurses Katie & Matthew. Katie - you are a gem & an angel who watched over us during hours I am sure no one wants to be awake. You helped us through a very scary health emergency. Thank you also to the Doctors who operated and cared for him throughout his stay. Spirit Mercy, you saved my husband’s life with your expert care. ♥️
