Wow...it's changed some of the volunteers are extremely rude and talked to people like they are less than even referring to some as "they" meaning less than not in a racially ignorant way in an unfortunate people demeanor. You can't yell at people or kids because they are utilizing a resource needed. I get people take advantage everyday but seriously? It makes people look at churches surrounding differently we are not dogs and some just fell on hard times it's embarrassing and to be further embarrassed by people who were supposedly are there to help yet judge and demeaning
Edit..it seemed the volunteer was already irritated there weren't anyone giving her a hard time in fact the one checking people in was giving a hard time and I was behind a lady who had her ID and for some reason the other two volunteers found her but instead of simply apologizing for holding up the line and embarrassing that lady her pride wouldn't let her knowing she was wrong. Trust I get sadly even with free items people take advantage I've seen that many times as well but no the behavior I saw wasn't warranted

They help the community with 110% with all their heats. The volunteers help with love in their hearts. I love this place and the people who run it… The best part is the free meals. I’m a 3rd shelter and I work 12 hours I don’t have time to make food .. please keep up the great work 😊

Great place an the people who work there are very helpful an so sweet! It's a blessing for a lot of people who can't afford to eat everyday and or need clothing an so much more, overall it's an amazing place 🙏🏻

I love the people who run the store but i’ve noticed over the years a lot of people are coming in and taking advantage filing their bag way up high holding up the line for 45 minutes I’ve bit my tongue long enough about it and every time I do go to the staff about the issue I don’t feel like it’s being handled the proper way countless times we have given them sheets of limits and they don’t care and go over everytime I really feel like this store should only be for the community .

Compassionate and helpful volunteers. It is always nice to come to CGFS. They have helped me, my fiancee, and our 2 year old daughter in times of need since we started coming here a few minths back. Being someone who used to live in downtown Columbus it is nice to have something like this because in Columbus there could never be something like this due to the high population and demand for help. Would give more stars if I could.

It doesn't matter what your income level is, they still help you with a hot meal and clothing and hygiene. They don't charge you like goodwill does. But they aren't open everyday or have a big selection. It is first come, first serve. The people that volunteer there are very friendly and nice.
