Whoever answers the phone at 1:20pm on Jan. 30, Thursday is a douche. Rude, unprofessional and definitely was unhelpful.

This is the only shelter and day shelter in Aurora . Conditions Are Truly Unacceptable The Ladies Restroom Doesn’t have a working stall and start off and end up staying un kept . For This To Be a Mental Health facility- There Should More Then Likely Be More of a Clinical Staff. Because It Comes off That Even Staff Need A Professional Hand.
I Hope The Comments Are Monitored By Management of Mile High Behavioral Health.

I never got anything accept a felony and a black eye out of this shelter, now they are telling me I am not welcome there anymore after 7 years of trying to get some help with housing.. They denied me any type of treatment or programs to help with my alcohol addiction. it's like a prison in there Matter of fact u mine as well call this the trap house because you could just get high and go to sleep.

Great Shelter yes there is a lottery but only if there are more than 40 people, (including children) trying to stay. If you are there early every night and there are less than 40 people trying to stay you can get in. There are chores you can do to guarantee you a spot for the next night and get yourself storage space. Staff is very kind and helpful and they have great resource lists of almost everything in the area.

It's not a one it's a Big Zero!; but I Thank The LORD for including but not limited to: 1. Freda, and; 2. John (Two (2) GOD given Angels !!!) You 'other humans' need to get "real" because: 1) GOD is watching over HIS people, and; 2) The rules need to apply to: A) Everyone, and; B) The so called "rule maker(s)", and; C) The upper management, and; D) The one all the way at the top. Thank you. GOD bless. [This will be updated as I deem necessary because I want to know who really does "run the show" because I know who/WHO does, it's me by ALLAH's Will and Power!!!!!!!! GOD bless. Peace.] Update: Once again a single act of lovingkindness (The Truth: ........it wasn't just one, it was more than several acts of lovingkindness towards others in need that I witnessed.) has respectfully restored a zero (0) to a four (4). [Note: The staff and residents at night need to be respectful of their neighbors and be quiet during quiet time!!!!!!!!] (Please look up the definition of quiet time.) Update for today October 2nd, 2023 once again, because of you 'people', not doing the right thing, your rating is now at a zero (0) and will stay there. Start housing people with "real" needs and not corrupt feds, corrupt cops, as well as rats/snitches and "fake" people. Go ahead call me a liar, ya' hypocrites. GOD bless. Peace.

The overnight staff at the time that I stayed there allowed other children to bully me and when I told them about it they would shrug it off. I couldn't even begin to go into some of the things they did. This continued for a couple of months and when I finally went off the police were called and I was the one that was removed. Of course, the police went with what the staff member told them and didn't look any further into the situation. As I was leaving, the kids and staff member mocked me and it was just such a humiliating experience. No child who is already having to go through the trauma of being separated from their family, should be subjected to people (who are literally PAID to have their best interest at heart) that would allow that type of treatment. You never know what children like that have on their minds. That worker's childish behavior could've been the straw that broke the camel's back and put everyone staying there in jeopardy.

As a native of Denver I know this place has always been disgusting. We were homeless a yr ago and were trying to find a place to sleep ,this was one of the options and thought maybe they cleaned it up, but just as disgusting as ever! Drug needles on the ground people fighting outside, I said no way I prefered we sleep in our car. Not safe and especially for kids. You wonder how they are even allowed to run a facility like that!?!?! Disgusting

This is the worse shelter I have ever been to . They are infested with bed bugs to the point where its multiple bedbugs crawling all over the bed and the bed post . We were only there 20 min and my husband got bit on his arm. It was the most disgusting thing I ever saw. They need to take that whole building down and rebuild it that's how bad the bed bugs are. Then when we told the staff they only gave out the bottle of raid like that was going to work This is definitely not a good place to go. .
