A wonderful charity that really cares about the horses they rescue. First rate from induction to adoption, they have a system that will allow the horse to rehabilitate and then be eligible for adoption. Every horse gets hands on attention everyday by the scores of volunteers that give unselfishly of their time. If you are looking for a charitable organization to support in the animal husbandry area this one is first rate.

I just wanted to share what a great experience I had when finding my sweet amazing "Tess" at CHR. The facility is beautiful, the people are kind and knowledgeable and the horses are in need of a loving forever home - if you are looking for a horse to add to your family it is a perfect combination. Even if you are not looking to adopt this is a wonderful organization where you can donate your time or money.

One of the best animal rescues out there and one of the first places I ever volunteered as a young child. They have not only improved their process, but now they have become influential to other rescues. It's nice to have a place stay consistent all of these years!

While they do great work with rescuing horses; volunteering here was not a great experience. I volunteered here for 2 years, I had numerous issues with staff being condescending and treating volunteers like the hired labor.
